Traveled the country in this RV and absolutely loved it. Easy to pull, tons of amenities. Felt like we bought the perfect 5th Wheel. Family of 4, never felt over crowded but could still fit in most RV parks, even some really small tight spaces. Show less

We purchased this 5th Wheel brand new. This review will look at the Flagstaff from the overall quality and secondly one major flaw that's a problem with most RVs. From the perspective of overall quality we are very happy. So many quality features in the construction.... USA made Dexter Axles w/ self adjusting brakes, Magic Chef Stove/range top, 5/8 plywood floor (glued down), stainless steel sinks...... so much more. Now for the big negative... within the first dozen and a half times in and out the Schwintek slide broke on the 7' long kitchen . With such a small slide it was obvious poor quality of the Schwintek design. We replaces it at our own expense of $1,700. Within another 2 dozen times in and out the slide failed again.. Though I contemplated repairing it and selling the 5th wheel, because of the overall quality of the Flagstaff line of RVs, I decided to have the Schwintek system completely replaced with a Vroom Slide System. So sad to see such a very high quality RV incorporate such an absolutely poor quality slide system. Would I buy another Flagstaff ? Because of the overall quality I would probably say yes. However in negotiating the price I would keep in mind the need to immediately replace any Schwintek systems with a Vroom System. Schwintek is common on many brands of RVs. Our experience has been very good. It has enough room for a couple of grandboys and a dog. The open concept of the living area allows us to move around while food prep and lounging around. It really works for us as a pair of retirees and a dog, failing eyesight is not going to allow us to continue to travel safely. This 5th wheel is great for retirees or a small family, as it has 2 slide outs and a simple control panel for managing the various components of the trailer. Its setup uses auto leveling control and large, heated water tanks, which makes it sturdy and livable. Inside the trailer is a 50” TV/Entertainment System and an awesome electric fireplace, which gives off great heat and provides an awesome fireplace view. The RV comes with a 23” Blackstone griddle which hooks up on the outside, as well as a TV hookup. The trailer comes with containerized water and waste hoses and connections. Will provide great camping experience, especially for the novice. Show less

Bed, sofa bed, and converting table bed are all comfortable to sleep on. It has everything you need including refrigerator, heater, air conditioner, shower, stove/oven, adequate storage. There are also nice bonus amenities such as the outdoor shower, two televisions, and an electric fireplace. Show less

Camper we thought was pretty good , we took it home from Dealer about 60bmioes and on third summer with it only went to our seasonal lot so wouldn’t have 400 miles on it total . Decided to take it to Michagin this summer and panels started popping off , mouldings , saw dust everywhere inside after first couple days travelling . Light covers falling off the workmanship really showed up once it was travelled with little disappointed… Show less

Nothing but problems since I bought it. Poor craftsmanship. Trim fell off on our way home, nothing but leaking pipes. No caulking around the sink. The dealership I bought it from was ignorant and lied about us being able to live in it in -10. Very very poor quality. Show less

We have had nothing but problems with this 5th wheel since we bought it. Black tank is messed up, which should be cover under warranty. The electrical plug for the 12 volt came out bc it doesn't fit. Getting Wade's in Joplin to come and fix things are like pulling teeth. WILL NOT BUY FROM THEM AGAIN! Show less

Overall a nice unit. However the Schwintek slide unit has failed after a couple dozen times in and out. Had trouble with the slide from the beginning. Super disappointed with Forest River for using such a flimsy slide system on the kitchen slide. Show less

Knowing the quality of an RV is limited by the people building it I understand there will be issues. But the warranty process is the worst I've ever seen. I have a simple issue; bent awning topper brackets. First I was told to bring the camper in so they could see the issue. A 3 hours drive just to be told, yep there bent, we will put them on order. It has been 2 months and all I get is the manufacturer don't have the parts. The manufacturer is still making the Rockwood 5th wheel but I can't get a part. This run around continued when I contacted the manufacturer. I was told to contact the dealer. At this point my slide has major problems going out and in and may cause damage to the topper cover it self. There is no recourse for the consumer. I contacted my congressman and the states attorney to see what I could do. Show less

This is a great RV, its roomy enough to live in. There is a place for everything. It's convenient and luxury feeling. Leather rocking reliners are great. You just feel like you are home. It pulls great, you don't even know it is behind you. Everything is in excellent, like new condition. We are getting too old to travel, so we must sell our wonderful RV. We've had 6 RVs total from pull behind camp trailers, to motorhomes and this has been the best ever. My husband has bad vision and we just can't travel anymore. So we need to sell our 5th wheel.
