Our experience has been very good. It has enough room for a couple of grandboys and a dog. The open concept of the living area allows us to move around while food prep and lounging around. It really works for us as a pair of retirees and a dog, failing eyesight is not going to allow us to continue to travel safely. This 5th wheel is great for retirees or a small family, as it has 2 slide outs and a simple control panel for managing the various components of the trailer. Its setup uses auto leveling control and large, heated water tanks, which makes it sturdy and livable. Inside the trailer is a 50” TV/Entertainment System and an awesome electric fireplace, which gives off great heat and provides an awesome fireplace view. The RV comes with a 23” Blackstone griddle which hooks up on the outside, as well as a TV hookup. The trailer comes with containerized water and waste hoses and connections. Will provide great camping experience, especially for the novice.

Light covers falling off the workmanship really showed up once it was travelled with little disappointed…

Knowing the quality of an RV is limited by the people building it I understand there will be issues. But the warranty process is the worst I've ever seen. I have a simple issue; bent awning topper brackets. First I was told to bring the camper in so they could see the issue. A 3 hours drive just to be told, yep there bent, we will put them on order. It has been 2 months and all I get is the manufacturer don't have the parts. The manufacturer is still making the Rockwood 5th wheel but I can't get a part. This run around continued when I contacted the manufacturer. I was told to contact the dealer. At this point my slide has major problems going out and in and may cause damage to the topper cover it self. There is no recourse for the consumer. I contacted my congressman and the states attorney to see what I could do.

We purchased this rig in Nov.2021 dealer was great prep service also good. 1st trip went west to Colorado river Ca.side. It met our expectations, pulled easy, set up for 1st timers not bad, getting used to it went well. After returning to home is when we found a few faults like a window over the dinning slide out wouldn't stay shut minor things. Dealer took care of them under warranty . Next trip was cross country to Massachusetts. We all know the roads are smooth (kidding). Each stop we found things a miss. Glass on fire place on the floor, elec.plug covers popped off, screws popped out, valance over shades screws out, shelves on the floor in the bunk house only held in by staples. There are many other little things but 1 big thing was we could not get the shore power cord to plug all the way in on the rig a service tech suggested to sand the face of plug to fit really. Well we tried everything else so we did now it fits. We made it to Ma. got a hold of a small FR dealer (Rousseau R V Lakeville Ma) great service fixed a few things. Said fireplace glass a problem, told him about the suggestion on the FR Forum of using mirror clips he did it and it works. He also said he bought a bag of them because it's most requested fix. We will see what happens on the trip back to Az hopefully nothing. Then drop off at dealer for the rest of the repairs.

We bought this RV new and it was our first 5th Wheel. We especially liked the large closet, round shower, large refrigerator/freezer, and great storage. One thing we noticed with Rockwood was a lot of things that are extra in other RVs was standard in ours. For example, ceiling fan in living room area, two fantastic fans in bathroom and kitchen area, solar equipped, electric/propane water heater, lazy boy recliners, and a rear carrier are just some of the extras. I really liked the Reese revolution hitch that rotated at the trailer instead of the fifth wheel. I have a short bed truck and can make 90 degree turns without ever worrying about hitting my truck with the trailer. I upgraded the tires because the factory tires are not rated for speeds over 60 mph. It is a great trailer but our health has reached the point that we can't travel in an RV any longer. But I would highly recommend this fifth wheel. I have talked to very few RVers who have found a great dealer to maintain their rig although I kept looking. A lot of things can be fixed yourself if you have any mechanical knowledge. Good luck on your RV adventure and we wish all of you the wonderful time we have had with ours.

We traded in our forest river travel trailer that never had a problem and purchased a Rockwood fifth wheel. BIG mistake. We love the floor plan, towing and living. Quality is a problem. It wasn’t even off the lot the first time when Santa Rosa RV let us know the microwave didn’t work. They ordered a new one back in it went for replacement. The first time we were going to take it out the slide outs wouldn’t come in as the whole electrical panel ceased to function. We had to pay $250 for mobile Rv to come out and assist getting three slide outs in. Back in it went for repairs it was two months old. At 11 months the refrigeration quit working. That was in April it is now December and we still have no refrigeration. It has been in the repair shop numerous times they can’t figure it out. We were promised they would order a new refrigerator and now they are telling us the warranty company is saying no yet another cooling unit to be replaced. I cannot stress enough how I would avoid Rockwood or Santa Rosa RV for repairs.
