Horrible. Anyone who buys a Forest river product must be insane. I wish someone would have written the review I am writing now prior to my purchase. As a Berkshire Hathaway shareholder I was excited to purchase from one of our companies. This thought was a mistake. The plywood floor on the slide out is about to fall in and their customer service is horrible. 1 year warranty??? No wonder. Berkshire should sale this company immediately before a class action lawsuit happens. I would not recommend purchasing any forest river products. You will be sorry very soon after purchasing. I actually feel sorry for dealers selling their products. This company will probably not be in business much longer given the poor quality of materials and workmanship. I will send pictures to anyone who wants to see them.

I bought the trailer while still active duty in the military in 2015. We had been living in a 32 ft Denali, which leaked air through the slide-outs bad enough you couldn't keep even the largest of flying insects from coming through the gaps.
I chose Cedar Creek 38 CK because it had the washer and dryer in the bedroom slide out, which makes for a much roomier front closet and overall floor plan in the bedroom. As convenient as this seemed at first, it turned out to be a problem which required the slide out floor and external floor to be replaced.
Although I have had to make numerous small repairs and modifications on a fairly regular basis (everything from replacing the sliding tracks on the pantry and garbage compartment drawers, replacing the ceiling fan, repairing and replacing the fireplace internal components, to placing angle iron braces underneath the floor to keep the plastic under- compartment panels from falling off while driving down the road) .
Since purchasing it I and my wife have lived in the trailer primarily full time, and I must say, that overall, we really like this trailer.
The overall quality of the trailer seems to be excellent in comparison to most other fifth wheel travel trailers I have both owned and observed. It holds heat really well, even in the most extreme winter weather.
I did end up putting vents around the base of the bed, and in the steps leading up to the bedroom in order to allow for warm-air circulation which definately helps to keep poorly placed water lines from freezing.
Likely, the biggest problem I have had is a premature aging of the roofing material. As I could not afford the convenience of a once in a lifetime fiberglass treatment, I simply coated the entire roof with three thick coats of white Flex Seal. So far, it seems to be working. Although the roof never leaked, it certainly would have had I waited much longer.
The factory rubber roofing material is supposed to last at least 10 years, it barely made eight. It was developing soft spots and a rough enough texture that it couldn't be cleaned easily without risking tearing the material.
Every time I have spoken to the factory about any type of repair or problem, they have always told me I need to bring the trailer to them.
This seems to be an avoidance tactic that has worked well enough for the company that they continue to do it.

Our second new CC Fifth Wheel. Actually upsized from our 2020 34ik. Love the floor plan. Like the fact that we could get carpet in living room and bedroom for our dogs. ( They slip otherwise). Like the dealer we got both from. Or should say former dealer. (He wouldn’t stock 4 new ones per factory , because he is smart) Now the bad. Underbelly has fallen down on the highway twice! Wiring, insulation..etc dragging…Buy some serious amount of 4 inch wide Gorilla tape. My dealer even riveted a brace all the way across. Lasted 2 trips. Works great until wind grabs one of those 4x6 panels. Almost stranded twice. Full size Refrigerator broke loose from its cheesy spot. Had to be properly secured. Auto level works about 50/50. Big slide won’t come in unless level. Constantly fixing level. And calibrating. Would like to buy another if they would let us order from dealer. Would stress Refrigerator security. Underbelly security. And auto level warranties. Otherwise we like it. Going to fix the siding that was blown apart by a tire explosion. H rated tire, not blaming them on that one. But it damaged the rig. Also a note. Our 2024 GMC 3500 diesel stopped communicating with the trailer brakes because the solar panel charged the Fifth wheel batteries to more voltage than the truck. Had to remove inline fuse for solar panel to get trailer brakes to work. A 2024 issue for GM HDs. They are working on a fix.

Great kitchen space, full sized fridge, ice maker, dishwasher (disclaimer - we did have some challenges with this!), terrific for relaxing in the two recliners or large pullout couch, "fireplace" kicked out some seriuos heat, king sized bed, bright bathroom. We needed something to live in while our cabin was being built, and this was awesome. I don't have towing experience so we had this delivered to our prepared pad - I applaud anyone who can tow this thing!

I am the second owner; didn't come with any warranty or support. The dealer we bought it from waved as we left. Helpful people in campgrounds taught us the tricks of the trade. The two living room sliders are 36 inches wide which gives us an extreme amount of room in the living area. The RV is made very sturdy and is easy to do maintenance on. Keep it greases and keep air in the tires; wash it and treat it like your home and it will last forever. Ours is 13 years old and still going. In great condition. We appreciate the 30 amp instead of the new 50 amps. That allows us to camp in more places that don't have the 50 amps. We love the refrigerator that is gas or electric. We can camp anyplace and don't have to worry about battery life. We replaced the fold out steps for the solid steps and those or awesome. You feel very safe and sturdy on the steps. The sewage flush we have is great and we use it before winter storage.

Before I bought the trailer I researched it and thought it was a good unit . All aluminum construction , even the roof trusses are aluminum. When I first seen it I was excited but that soon wore off . For the cost of the rv I would have thought the attention to detail would have been there . Main awning was not aligned correctly, the door is really hard to open and close , the fridge is not freezing molding on outside of trailer is falling off and every where you look around the inside of the rv you can see imperfections like marks on the walls and have dabs of silicone to cover the marks . Paneling joints are not smooth and even but the ac does work well and the trailer stays cool even though it is 35 degree Celsius outside

We purchased our Cedar Creek in 2018 and lived in it full time for a year and a half in 2019-2020 in western South Dakota, a portion of that time being the third coldest winter in South Dakota's recorded history! While other full-time RVers were dealing with frozen pipes, our unit handled the below zero temps successfully, thanks to the tank heaters, custom skirting, and other typical winterizing measures taken.
We have two house dogs, one an 85 lb. black lab, and we didn't have any space issues having them in the RV.
I worked remotely, so we replaced the tri-fold couch in the 2nd bedroom with a sit-stand desk for my computer workstation. I also used the 2nd bedroom/office as my vanity, clothes closet and dresser, and coffee nook.
We also wintered in it for 6 months in Arizona, November through April, and the two A/C units kept up with the 80+ degree days. We were very comfortable. The electric fireplace in the living room helped warm the RV when nights were cool.
The only reason we are selling is because we downsized to a Class C so we can make shorter trips and I am able to help drive. Although we like our new Class C, it does not carry the quality of workmanship, cabinetry, and furniture as our Forest River, so we will miss that.

We bought this fifth wheel used after it was 6 months old. My only issue with Forest River is they do not transfer the warranty. We were lucky and we did not have any issues the first year. We been to Florida twice and out west which was 10,000 miles that one trip. Also to MO and many more shorter trips. The only problem we have had was a blowout and it ruined the wiring to the refrigerator, TV and fireplace. We should of put new tires before we went out west. I would recommend any one buying an RV to change out the tires to American made and a high ply. It will save you the possible damage when you have a blowout. We have lived in the trailer for 9 months with all of our long trips and a few more months on our short trips.
