We wanted to upgrade from tent camping and after looking at all of the available options, we decided that a fiberglass shell camper would give us lightweight towing options and hold long term value. This is where Casita stands out, it's a design that's stood the test of time and we could get everything we wanted for a reasonable price. The Spirit Deluxe 17' has turned out to be the perfect size for the two of us on our cross-country travels for weeks at a time. It has a wet bath, sleeping for 2 in the large dining area at the rear, a dinette that seats two on the side, a workable kitchen with a sink, 2 burner stove, microwave & fridge. A Maxx fan, an A/C with heat strip & a gas furnace.

We bought ours in 2019. It was completed in two months. Now it is 18 month build time. I ordered everything but the microwave. The price was $24,000. We spent the summer of 2020 on the road, from Virginia to California and back. Our bathroom door latch broke, one cabinet door would not secure, and the dog chewed the blinds and fire extinguisher holder. The Deadbolt broke in half at the Casita going factory. They fixed everything for free. Several times because of the camper's size, we could get into an RV park with only a small spot left. We are retired it this perfect for us. I can't imagine a family in one of these campers. One has to stay seated when the other moves. We would have gotten the twin bed if we had known about having to crawl over each other. The upkeep is very easy. Everything works great. I had the windows tinted to keep the heat out. I had a Soft Start put on the AC so I can use a small generator and a regular outlet to run the AC.

Downsizing and down pricing from a series of Airstreams, my wife and I bought a CASITA Spirit Deluxe last year... first impression is WOW, what a good deal. It clearly is a huge bang for the buck in terms of functionality...it is very well constructed, and has some features not found on more expensive coaches. The experience of purchasing the Casita was overall very excellent, and we were especially pleased with Carla in sales at Casita plant. Though small, the floorplan layout is flexible, and the payoff in towing and economy is a huge reward. Ideal for two! Very happy!!

This is the best trailer for 2 people & a dog. The build quality is good. They have been building these since 1983. Being fiberglass you don't have to worry about roof leaks. The setup & take down is very easy. After you do it a few times, it is very fast. Look at the standard equipment and the options. If budget allows get all the options except the Microwave. ( You can buy one yourself ) It is better to have it & not need it, than need it & not have it. There is a company near Fort Worth TX where you can get addition upgrades installed. https://littlehomeontheroad.com/ It is very easy to tow. Maintenance is very easy. There is a book Casita Trailer A - Z which covers everything. The quality of regular trailers are very poor. So you could spend time in the repair shop or your time camping. When we were looking for RV we finally had to decide do we need to take our house with us or just a motel room. This saved us a lot of money. People will come up & want to see the Casita. We have been approached each time we have been out. We are very pleased with this Camper. One upgrade I would suggest is installing a Soft Start on the AC. https://www.microair.net/collections/easystart-soft-starters What this does is softly start your AC so you all you here is the fan coming on. No thump noise. This allows you to use a smaller generator. Instead of 50 AMPs to start a AC it takes 15 AMPs. We tow with our Chevy Colorado V-6.
