Before we bought our Brinkley, I looked at a few comparable brands; Grand Design, Alliance, and Keystone Cougar. When I saw the Brinkley and the fit and finish along with inside storage we were sold. From the dovetail drawer construction, to the solid wood dining table, to the soft close and super strong magnets on all the drawers and cabinets, Brinkley just can’t be beat in my opinion. Also, I talked with Brinkley and they said that they constructed the trailer with the ability to haul it with an empty or completely full fresh water tank without having to worry about the tank dropping out. Again, this trailer is over constructed for a travel trailer and I am sure will last for years. We personally owned a Highland Ridge Open Range travel trailer for 3 years and put about 25,000 miles on it for work so we are not just weekend warriors nor are we full timers. We decided that we wanted to buy a trailer to keep for years and not upgrade and that was why we chose the Brinkley. The livability got a 4 star rating for a few reasons. There is no real coat closet in the rig. We removed some shelves next to the fridge and created one, but it doesn’t naturally have one. Also the external storage space is another issue. You only have the front pass through (that is amazing and large) but not enough for everything. We do have the back of my truck for storage as well, but feel like the trailer just needs a little more space. Also, the speaker system in the trailer is by the company Boss. For such a high end trailer, it seems like that is a fairly low quality speaker system. One thing I have seen on some Cougar trailers is the ability to connect a table or Blackstone grill onto the side of the trailer. That would be another great addition. Overall, we love our trailer and the interaction with the Brinkley care team is also amazing and it is fun being a part of the Brinkley owner community. We have met some great fellow owners and are super pleased with our purchase.

I did my research for 2 years and I walked through a lot of different brands and models. It was abundantly clear that Brinkley was above the rest when came to build quality and their attention to the fit and finish. Also there are countless comments on their customer service and the fact that they take care of their customers. We finally pulled the trigger in June and purchased a Z3400 from Blue Compass in Duncan SC.(I will do a review on them as well). First of all I will state that Brinkley’s are not Perfect and I have had a number of small issues, most of which I corrected myself with the help of Brinkley’s customer care team. The difference is that they will do whatever it takes to correct the issue. Including sending you parts to fix it yourself if you don’t want to have your RV in some dealership for who knows how long. We could not be happier with our decision to buy a Brinkley and I would encourage anyone to take look at one if you are considering purchasing an RV.
