American Coach Tradition reviews

The American Coach is well built with quality materials and is certainly at the top of mid tier diesel pushers. The full wall slide is a game changer. Having previously owned a 4 slide model, I am amazed at what a difference the full wall slide made in the interior room and comfort. I can't believe other manufacturers are still making the older four slide out floor plans. The ride is very supple and the handling is so smooth that can drive 12 hours without getting fatigued. I had previously owned another brand of coach on a Roadmaster chassis. It was so difficult to keep in its lane that you would be worn out after driving for any length of time. Lastly, the looks of the American Coach stand out against the competition. Sleek front end cap, beautiful full body paint, Girard integrated awnings, and frameless windows all make this coach draw attention. Show less

We've owned this Motor Coach for over five years and I'm still amazed how smooth it drives and how well it handles (plus all the bells and whistles it has as standard equipment. We get many compliments on its beauty at every place we stop. Show less

Drives like a dream on the road when u pass big rigs no swaying at all because it has 8 air bags for support. Double tandem wheels in back turn with you. Super easy setup. Owned one for 15 years and never a problem. Great coach for the money. Show less

It has been a great RV to drive. It has been stored in a garage when not in use. We spent the winters in Florida both Key Largo and Fort Myers. The storage is plenty full with slide trays for easy access. We also have a freezer or refrigerator on a slide under the rv for extra storage. Show less

I have enjoyed this RV very much. It is a quality built unit. My husband enjoyed driving it but due to health issues we are having to sell. I am sad because I love camping with my friends and making new friends. Show less

I bought new and have owned 5 pushers over the years. This is the best of all. Love the freightliner chassis, much shorter turning radius. Selling because of age and have been all over the US. Would sell tow car as well . 2016 Lincoln MKT with 40k and still under warranty. Great live ability . Show less

We are the second owners of this Tradition 42F. We have lived in it full time for over 2-1/2 years. We love the floor plan and particularly the full wall slide which creates a truly open feel from front to back. We feel the interior finishes are far better than other products in the market and feel the same about exterior paint quality. After nearly 10 years in service it still looks almost new. Mechanical issues are there just like any other product, but the factory service center(s) are good to work with. We have a strong owners group that has the attention of the key corporate people. I would be very hard pressed not to by another American Coach. Show less

First off why I gave this a 4 star on Driving/towing, we pull a 6000 lb pickup truck and with an RV with 425 hp it slows the coach down about 5 mph more on a steep grade. The solution is to pay $50k + more for a 500 hp coach, or you just take your time...lol We love the 2 bathroom setup and would never go back to a single bath, it's a perfect his and hers set up. This coach is a 400 sq. ft. condo on wheels. It has everything you need for living in comfort for months at a time. It favors large campgrounds because of its size but you can easily dry camp for a week if you want. You can also pull into a Walmart for a night while on the road, air level, put out the slides and never leave the coach. The coach is comfortable to drive and after a short period of adjustment the length is not a problem, neither my wife nor I have had any problems on the road and we have worked out hand signals to make backing into large campsites easy. The maintance costs are about $1k a year unless you do it all yourself. If you need to go cheaper get a 5th wheel, diesels require maintenance to last more than 200k miles. Show less

I have owned this RV for 15 years and have not had any serious problems with it. It drives exceptionally well and pulls a tow just as well. It is also very serviceable - can get to most points. I would recommend this coach to anyone. Show less
