DO NOT RECOMMEND AIRSTREAM or AIRSTREM RANGELINE. We purchased a new 2023 Airstream Rangeline in Feb 2023. The day of pick up, we noticed cabinets out of alignment, broken/missing items, unclean unit. We have been having issues with this unit since day one of pulling out of Blue Compass RV of Greensboro. On the first night- discovered a myriad of malfunctioning/dysfunction items, including electrical/ heating/water heating/battery charging/water tank & cabin temperature sensors/low glycol, water pump, overheated generator, MIRA app, and more.
This unit has been in and out of service since purchase, and there solid since April 2024 for the same issues with heating, cooling, sensors, failed battery, leaking, electrical, and other things. In addition, there were a couple of mold infestation events while the vehicle was under the care of Blue Compass RV of Greensboro.
There were multiple visits to the dealership and multiple failed camping attempts due to the unit malfunctioning. The last drop off was in April '24 was primarily due to the same heating, cooling, and electrical problems, cabinet misalignment, & collapse of a cabinet while driving, among others. Multiple issues were due to shoddy workmanship and poor-quality control. The heater didn't work in the winter and the AC didn't work in the summer. A few molds infestation incidences and roof leaking occurred during the service at Blue Compass of Greensboro. We asked for a replacement of a new working unit that does not have a history of mold issues and constant mechanical failures, or just give us a refund. Even though we purchased a new vehicle, neither Airstream nor Blue Compass RV is willing to step up and compensate us for our inconvenience, the loss of money/time/planned vacations. Rangeline is a hit and miss. Unfortunately, our unit was a miss with multiple signs of poor-quality control and engineering issues with having different software programs working together.
PURCHASED: Feb’ 23 PICKED UP: March’ 23. DROPPED OFF FOR SERVICES: March, April, June, Sept, Nov of ’23, March ’24 twice, April ’24 and still there (now Sept 2023) – beyond Lemon Law.

On a Mercedes Benz diesel engine, they reliably get 18-24 mpg, and are fully self contained so that everything one needs for life is within that rig .
Easy to handle in all kinds of weather, up and down mountains without difficulty, and all manual so none of the annoyances of electronic gizmos that go bad,
Get into the small spots, go where the big rigs can’t, explore the country in luxury accommodations.

We traded a 2021 Atlas for the 2023 to get the new E1 Volta power system thinking it would solve the many problems we had with the power systems on the 2121 which included a complete failure of all solar panels and a cost to us for emergency repairs if over $2,000. Airstream refused to pay for the repairs simply because we did not get prior authorization for repairs at a non-Airstream repair shop. Without those repairs we were dead and 300 miles from a Airstream dealer.
We were so excited to get our 2023 and yet things started going wrong immediately! First the Volta system failed on our first day out and we had to return to the dealer for a complete replacement. After that we started encountering so many issues that it would be hard to enumerate here. After taking it to the Denver Airstream dealer where it sat for 2 months we were told everything was functioning properly. NOT! The AC system would not function even when on shore lower. The microwave and induction stove kept failing. To add insult to injury an electronic module in the Mercedes engine caused the transmission to fail. The vehicle had to be towed 250 miles to Salt Lake City. No that that repair is completed the vehicle is sitting at the Salt Lake Airstream dealer waiting for the Volta system to be repaired again. I am not confident they even have a tech that is qualified to work on the system. To be continued …. In the meantime, DON’t BUY ONE!

We have owned our Airstream Atlas Murphy suite for 3 years and just completed camping in all of the lower 48 states! Everything we didn’t like in our previous Interstate has been corrected in the design of this van. All outdoor supplies (firewood, grilling supplies, chairs, table, outdoor games etc) can be stored in the cabinets on the exterior. This leaves all of the interior cabinets for food, clothing, bedding and entertainment. Having a full bathroom across the back of the van allows for privacy and comfort. everything dries out completely allowing you to easily live in the van for many nights in row. The kitchen is well thought out, the refrigerator and microwave are at a functional height, and there is a pullout pantry for food along the side of the refrigerator. The two recliners and large television are perfect for winding down at night. The murphy bed is very comfortable and the slide out allows you to walk around 3 sides of the bed. We couldn’t be happier with our experience with this RV

The Airstream Interstate 19 is a disastrous money pit built by unskilled workers using cheap materials while cutting corners and cost anywhere they can. I have owned mine for over a year and still I'm unable to fix several major issues with the van due to the poor build quality and incompetence of the dealer. I would never recommend this van to anyone. I regret buying it and don't wish this experience on anyone. The list of issues I've had is so long it could never fit in this review so lets just do the highlights. AC is cheap piece of junk that is so loud it can't be used. Most owners end up replacing theirs at a cost of $2000. Battery wiring was wrong and the coach battery kept getting drained. Solar wired wrong. Water pump replaced 3 times. Water heater doesn't work properly so you take cold showers. Shower doesn't drain. Dealer says it's normal. Door panel didn't fit right and damaged the paint. This has never been fixed. Sink leaked. Rain leaked into the cab. Rust on the roof because Airstream drilled holes during installation and never cleaned the metal shavings. Rattles constantly when driving. Suspension is inadequate to handle the 8000 weight so it had to be upgraded at a cost of $5500.
Avoid this vehicle at all costs. It's a nightmare on wheels.

My experiences with our airstream atlas is not great . Being 70 years old my wife and I wanted a small comfortable rv to travel in and chose the atlas even though it was expensive. Currently with 20,000 miles in it I must say that the Mercedes part has been wonderful . Other than dealing with recalls, and having to change the chassis battery , I can say it’s been a joy to drive I take it to my Mercedes dealer once a year for oil change, updating recalls and general inspection before departing on our winter trip . My wife says it’s like driving and riding in a car . I wish I could say the same about the airstream side . It’s has been nothing but issue after issue. We have not taken one trip where something hasn’t happened . Constant issues with the controls on the black and grey tank. Have replaced the black tank valve twice and the grey tank once and still can’t get them to operate properly. Must say it’s not easy being 70 crawling under the rv and opening and closing the tanks by hand to empty each time because the controls malfunctioned. Have taken it to the airstream dealer near me 4 times pertaining to the tank situation only to find that after driving it 125 miles home that there is still issues . Each time the visit averaged costing $ 2000,00. You wouldn’t expect this on a luxury rv costing $250,000.00 . Airstream did awful job with quality and location of various panels to fix things . First time out the water heater had to be reset . You would think the reset would be easily assessable but to get to it you have to take out the drawers under the cooktop and reach to the back taking out two small screws to push the reset button. Unfortunately this had to be done several times which is a lot of work to simply push a button . The couch seems to get stuck in the down position frequently. I found this to be mainly because the fuse would not stay in its position . Finally fixed this with a piece of electrical tape. Problem is you have to take drawers out , lay on the floor and reach to the back of the couch to get to the fuse box for the couch . The door locks on the cabinets are useless as they don’t keep any door closed while traveling. I can go on and on but feel I have spewed enough . Finally I had a good friend within days of buying a new atlas that I sat down with and talked about my issues. He ended up buying a LT Leisure Van instead and loved it . Same floor plan and size with same Mercedes chassis but costing several thousand dollars less .

We received our Atlas Airsteam after waiting 10 months. It been a nightmare. Not one trip without something breaking. Now they said it not covered under warranty, so we need to pay for the repairs on the stabilizer jacks. There a remote control inside the Atlas that raises the jacks. We hit retract and they showed as being retracted on the screen but were not. Moved two feet and now they need to be replaced at 3K. Airstream said they encourage you to look under the vehicle and not rely on the screens. Below is a list to date of all the defects.
1. Water leaking from plastic tubing never crimped, day one never check the water lines at the factory. Had to purchase a crimping tool and crimp the connections.
2. Plugged into the two USB charging ports on the sofa and out popped a piece of black plastic rendering this unusable. These were defective.
3. Exterior storage compartment door hits the exhaust pipe when opening and closing. This has resulted in the door finish being chipped off.
4. The USB charging port above the passenger’s seat not working
5. Luggage door alarm has been an issue for over 10 months, beeping every time you put the vehicle in gea!
6. The large cabinet doors are falling off, the hinge screws are coming out.
7. Wardrobe closet shelf falls from bracket; it was cut to short.
8. Plastic cap located in water fill compartment is broken
9. Silverware and wardrobe closets slide open when driving
10. Picked up RV from schedule service repairs to find water puddles on floor from refrigerator defrosting. This has happened two times to date.
11. Door hinge on camper access door coming apart
12. Exterior coating is cracking where roof meets the rear of the camper, they picked up on a flatbed to be repainted in Jackson Ohio. It was my responsibility to fly out to retrieve it for Maine. I had to pay all the expense to fly and drive it back.
13. Roof white seam tape is peeling off
14. Received recall notice on the emissions 2020 Sprinter
15. Panel under passenger side seat falls off when you open the door
16. Canopy caught on the extender arm and damage the fabric.
17. Airstream recall notice received “cooktop gas may leak”
18. First camping trip after the Atlas was in the shop for two weeks the macerator was not working, Airstream of Ohio found wipes used by the service team jammed it, that was no charge
19. First camping trip after the Atlas was at Mercedes Bens of Scarborough for two weeks the TV would only come up ¾ of the way.
21. Small storage carpet is always wet, photo sent in a previous email to Airstream. They had to replace the gaskets.
22. Couch motor fail, couch in down position for most of the trip, now told it's out of warranty.
23. Re-cracking of the body needs to go back to Ohio to be repaint for the second time. First time they had it for 6 weeks during the best camping seasons.
24. Sofa failing to return to the upright position
25. Stabilizer jacks not extending, “stabilizers down” alarm sounds when in drive mode until silenced
26. At different time the recliner does not work that closest to the front of the cab
I would not recomend anyone by an Airstream Atlas.

As newbies to RV traveling/camping we love our Airstream Interstate Lounge. The interior fit and finish is what originally lured us into the Airstream brand versus all the others. The upscale overhead cabinets, teak wood look vinyl flooring, and comfortable interior won us over. Since our children are still young, sleeping 4 in this van that's built to sleep 2 by the specs was simple. We use a cabbunk bunk system on our cab seats with no issues. The 6 gallon hot water heater is easy to use for all of us to shower. Heating the coach with the propane furnace is quick and easy. Cooling it with shore power from the rear AC or the generator while underway is also simple enough our kids have learned the drill. The OEM AC unit has 2 settings, LOUD, and LOUDER. We've learned to sleep with is just fine, but will upgrade to a quieter unit in the future. Driveability is second to none! My wife was intimidated at first and 20 minutes later was just fine. She's so confident driving it that she's taken it on solo voyages with the kids and with girlfriends. There are 9 seats with seatbelts, allowing passengers to move around. The layout is ideal, and there is no wasted space. All systems are located so that if maintenance or repair is required there is space and accessibility. There is also a large and helpful community of owners who are very active in helping each other repair/upgrade/use this coach to its full potential.
Dumping grey and black tanks could not be simpler or cleaner with its self retracting dump hose and macerator pump.
Whether it's a trip across town to Costco, a 10 hour roadtrip, a day at the beach or soccer tournament, we find our Airstream interstate coach a perfect vehicle, and it gets a lot of use. We have upgraded the AGM 12v batteries to AGM 6v batteries to extend the usable amp hours, but for the most part are either on the road or plugged into shore power at a destination. 2015 was the last year of production before power window shades became standard equipment and we're happy to have the manual shades when we read about the powershade problems. As with any RV, a fuse will blow, oil will need to be changed, systems develop issues. If you're handy you can handle 90% of all of these as they arise. The other 10% should be easily repaired as the Sprinter is the backbone of local delivery fleets and parts are readily available. This coach was a wonderful purchase for our family. If you're looking, check out all the class B offerings, and then take a look at the Airstream, if you wind up as impressed as we did, you'll be done shopping. They seem to hold their value better than other brands as well!
