2024 Thor Motor Coach reviews

Thor does not stand behind their warranty at all. Bought a brand new 2024 camper van from General RV. Picked it up in September. Was told that the refrigerator was not cold because they had just turned it on. It never got cold. It has been to General RV TWICE, OVERNIGHT for days on end for diagnosis, etc. They determined it does not get colder than 66 degrees which is not cold enough for safe food storage. General RV blames Thor, Thor blames the refrigerator manufacturer. No one is taking responsibility to replace this defective item. Purchased this van because it supposedly had a 2 year warranty and was told everything inside would be "covered". General RV and Thor just keep blaming the other for not submitting paperwork, etc. and this has been happening for weeks and weeks while I sit with a camper van that can't really be camped in. Only two problems: bedroom door slide guide and shower door leak. Fixed both myself with $4.00 in parts. Don't need two tvs in the livingroom but they work great. Very satisfied with overall fit and finish of everything. First time class a owner. Would recommend this model from Thor. Show less

The previous reviews are for previous years. I guess they have improved this model for 2024 since it has only been around since 2021. I have had this now for 7 months, traveled 8,000 miles, stopping more than 40 times in 9 states and 2 provinces. Hasn't given me any trouble at all during all this. Everything works well and is quite dependable so far. The Ram van is a great vehicle with a fine, comfortable ride. I get up to 20 mpg unless it's very windy, then it goes down to 16 or 17. Only a minor U-connect software recall they fixed right quick. So, I am impressed and quite pleased with my new home. The only reason I gave it 4 stars for quality are the drawers, which are a bit flimsy but quite functional. I'm sure things will break, everything made by humans will, then I might have something to say about Thor service! I wouldn't have given a service rating but it was mandatory. Show less

The Mercedez Delano does not honour warranty. The paint on the unit's is God awful. They change out tires to put cheap tires and then Mercedez will not warranty them and Thor denies doing so. overall do NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY that is all they care about. After a year of research and waiting for the build, we finally picked up our new Coach House Platinum IV 271XL. After the first 1,000 miles I can tell you that our expectations have been surpassed. Our #1 purchasing decision was the overall quality of the build. Coach House RV takes great pride in their build quality and the service they provide to their customers. This is reflected in the commitment and energy that the whole staff showed as we took delivery over multiple days to ensure everything was tested and fixed before we left the Florida-based factory. From the owner, to the sales rep, to the production foreman, to the RV technicians, all were accessible and provided great service. I left with the confidence that I will continue to be able to ask questions as we learn our rig and overcome our "newbie" experience level. If you are looking for a unique to the industry, high quality RV, Coach House RV has to be part of your purchase consideration. Show less

Purchase this RV 6 months ago, we have been visiting Lazy Days in Knoxville a least 5 or 6 times due to quality issues, water heater breaking, toilet issues and other sort of issues since we purchased the RV. We purchased the unit from Lazy Days and they give us the impression that we are the problem.. A 100k investment should not have these kinds of issues so soon. We have not utilized this unit at a full capacity yet and we are drowning in issues without assistance from Lazt Days or Thor warranty department at all. I would not recommend anyone purchase an RV from Thor or Lazy Days. Customer Service is horrible. Show less

This motorhome is extremely poor quality inside and cheaply made. The quality is very apparent it is so cheaply done inside with no quality control. Not worth the price. Shower not sealed properly. Gaps in seals, nothing aligned. All visible flaws are clearly visable and noticeable if you look not very hard. Would absolutely never buy this couch again. Absolutely very cheaply made and it shows. Thor is the biggest joke I have ever seen. Camping World is a close 2nd. The entire process from looking to purchase has been a complete nightmare. All either of them care about is the signature at the bottom line. MOVE ANOTHER UNIT!! Stay away from both of these companies at all cost. Show less
