We have owned this RV since June 2023 and logged approximately 27000 miles traveling to CA, AK, and Nova Scotia all from PA. We have had minor issues, such as slides on drawers failing and other small issues but overall we are very pleased with this unit. The dealer we purchased this rig from has been excellent had any inquiry. Their response has been quick and very informative! When asked if I would buy another Rockwood or 2205S the answer is yes. The floor plan is perfect for us as empty nesters. There is a spacious living area, a large bedroom and a decent sized bathroom. Have owned it just over a year and it has never made it a trip without something breaking. It went to the dealer approximately 7 different times to repair rattling plumbing behind the shower, replace one vent fan, repair another vent fan, reattach living room wall board to framing, repair 2 blinds that had holes in them, fix the waterpump as it was loosing prime constantly, fix the loose dinette seating back support wall, fix the annoying squeak in the bed framing. All of that was fixed under warranty. They couldn’t find anything wrong with the air conditioning, but it has an airflow issue that prevents it from keeping the trailer cooler than 10 degrees below outside temp. I will perform the DIY diverter assy to remedy that. Our last trip had the support that hold the counter top piece in place w hen the tv is stowed under the counter. I will fix that myself. I have owned 2 other trailers and they all had lots of issues also. Show less

I am writing this review in hopes that anyone who is searching for a RV travel trailer will stay clear of Forest River. I am not sure what type of quality assurance process they have but maybe someone needs to evaluate that department. We purchased a new Forest River Wildwood Platinum 29BUD floor plan RV and have had nothing but issues. This was our first RV so we were not sure what to look for, now I know! The screen door does not latch there is a gap between the door and the frame. The RV bathroom has done nothing but leak since we used it, sink leaked, coupling not attached to water hose. Shower leaked, not only was it not calked properly but the hose coupling on the water line was not seated properly. The gas heat works when it wants too and the bed board in the primary bedroom broke in half!! This is unacceptable to manufacture a product in this manner. Does this company not even care that people spend their hard earned money, I understand that we did not pay 100s of thousands for this RV but 30+ thousand was a lot of us. POOR Quality. I wish the list of ratings were more along the actual product quality. We choose the floor plan so that would be on us if we didn't like it. I'm sure it tows as any other RV trailer, over all quality does not say it all. Show less

We purchased this RV two months after buying our Jayco 265RLS. The Jayco was too big for us to tow with our 2019 Chevy Tahoe LS. Wanting to travel and not just remain Camp Rats, we looked into a smaller yet functional travel trailer that we could easily tow. The real star on this camper is the Super Slide. You would be amazed the added space you get on a 23' camper when it is out. The Wildwood weighs less than 4200 pounds and tows very nicely. While it is a single axel, it still tracks well with our Husky 32218 Center Line TS weight distribution hitch and sway is kept to a bare minimum. We love the Bonus Bunk that folds out above the Jack Knife sofa. This provides a great place for our 6 small pups to hang out and watch the world from the super sized windows. Another plus is the U shaped Dinette. Extra seating where you need it and great under bench storage as well. The 12Volt 11Cu' refrigerator is excellent. Minus's - The toilet is placed a bit close to the right wall in the bathroom. If you are a larger individual, you might have issues. The Roof needed to be completely resealed before I picked this unit up from the dealer - always check your roof seals. The Dinette seat support boards were held in place with cheap angled plastic strips and half of the staples used missed their marks. I replaced the plastic with aluminum strips and am quite happy with the results. There is a wall plate above the TV mount that covers the pass through to the outside wall for the wiring to run to the power awning. Ours had a leak from the factory because some idgit forgot to apply caulking where needed. I fixed mine with no problems. The camper came with China Bombs from the factory and I insisted they be replaced with Goodyears as part of our deal. There are NO power receptacles on the slide side of the camper. We installed AC outlets next to the power / circuit / fuse panel and it really enhances functionality when you need to operate your computer at the Dinette without stringing extension cords across the camper. I contemplated replacing the fans with more powerful units but have not. I considered replacing the wood used on the Bonus Bunk for better support. I considered installing a window into the entry door for light and seeing who is approaching the door. Show less

One day after the camper was set on our permanent spot we noticed the floor was separating. My husband called the dealer and someone came to look at it. The only thing that the warranty would allow for repairs was to sand the plywood section that was sticking up. The repair man said that the plywood was actually breaking apart, but Salem won’t replace it. We now have two other spots in our floor that are doing the same thing. In addition to this, the shelving in the pantry is falling apart and the shelves are falling. We only have spices on these shelves. This camper is a year old. Disappointed in the quality of this camper, and incredibly disappointed in the lack of cooperation with the warranty. Show less

In the middle of January 22nd, 2024, I purchased a 2023 Heritage Glen LTZ 270FKS 820 From Bish’s RV in meridian Idaho. Right off the bat I found 19 things wrong with the Trailer: These items are: Hole and bubbling above the pantry door Kitchen drawers fell out when pulled (drawers fell because the back studs for the drawer rail brackets are not attached) Side support board for the drawers also not attached panel under the refrigerator was secured leaving a half inch crooked gap Trim around the large bubble window above kitchen sink fell off while towing home five miles away on city streets Main brace underneath bed split and not attached Back plate behind the stove not attached just lying loose All pull down blinds have Velcro tabs on the bottom bar of the blinds but nothing on the walls to attach them too (only half done) Blinds crooked on the two narrow windows in the bedroom Broken latch on refrigerator door Hinges for the storage doors underneath dining table benches loose and floating back and forth Trim around the pantry sagging and loose (no adhesive) lens cover on running lights missing Wires not wrapped or secured on electric jack by hitch Access panel door on bedroom slide out warped Shower door seal fell off when opening door Magnetic plate for bedroom door installed on a diagonal (all others level to the floor) Panel under the sink only attached on one side Keyhole on front door pried and bent (probably not manufacturing) These are the items I found in the first three hours of possession and this morning I took it back to the dealership. I talked to the Director of service, Bish's RV in Meridian Idaho and showed him the issues I had, in which he documented and took possession of for immediate service, and I asked him to go through the whole RV to find the things I didn't find, (which scares me). So, I guess what my questions is where do we go from here, what is going to be done about this situation, I paid close to $50,000.00 for your product and the condition of the RV does not reflect that, (was it built on a Friday?). I sent an email to Bish’s and Forest River with this list of problems on Jan 23rd to Bish’s and Forest River, in which Bish’s took back the trailer and submitted it for warranty work. I’ve nbeen trying to resolve these issues for months now and more things are going wrong: The air conditioner ducting was not connected, and all the cold air was coming out from under the kitchen sink The one and only camping trip we went on the 11nth of April, we had to keep the speed of my towing below 50mph because the back of the trailer swayed wildly, (and it never did that before) This trailer has been in the shop more than out of the shop, and the kicker is Idaho doesn’t have an RV lemon Law. I have hade several issues with the Sandpiper 401 that I bought last year. The black water tank has been leaking since I bought the trailer., and is still leaking . The wall in the bedroom came loose from the studs. The awning arm was broken. The backsplash in the kitchen came loose from the wall. The screen door on the sliding door was 5 “ too short. The trailer is used as a summer home and is in a pole barn. I am currently dealing with the smell of the black water tank leaking in my floor. The dealer has been here 5 times to deal with it and the last time they were hear the installed a new one. It is leaking just as bad, and the wall is coming loose from the studs in the hall. I’m not a happy customer by any means! Wish I hadn’t bought this piece of shit. Show less

Bought a brand new unit unfortunately in the middle of winter in MN. This is the worst RV for quality ever. Nothing worked. Plumbing in the back bathroom wasn’t finished, rotting wood in the other bathroom, bunk pieces falling out, AC in the front has never worked properly, side walls in the bedrooms are all flexing and making noise, sawdust all over the place, fridge didn’t come with a water drip tray, cabinets above the seats bottom are all falling out, the bunks ceiling wasn’t nailed up right, the shades not put on right, you can feel bumps under the laminate where is wasn’t cleaned before installed, back tv was installed broken, scratches all over the sinks in the bathrooms, jacks didn’t work right, front seat motor didn’t work couldn’t move it. This whole unit is just junk. Now the slides don’t go out. I just want my money back. This has to be a lemon. Show less

We purchased a Forest River Sierra 3440BH In June of 2023, New never been used and some areas still had the fresh smell of new. We loved the floor plan, as we have 2 teenagers, and about to have our first grandchild from 1 of our boys, so it certainly will work for sleeping arrangements. Now for the best part, got it home and winterized it as camping season was over for us. We hooked up the propane and kept the tank heaters on and keep the indoor temp at 55 degrees. In March we de-winterized and begin to set things up for camping season. Well we found a lest of 19 items that were warranties' and the list goes on. To start the trim is peeling off the cabinets, screen doors are broke, toilets leaked water, sinks leak, bed trim fell off, black tank valve is stuck shut (can not use read bath room at all due to leaks and toilet/ tank), always smell like sewer, awing is falling off, curtains put on awkward or uneven, NO BRAKES! If i was to guess i would say a bunch of 5 year old put this camper together, unfortunately for us we can not take the camper back for LEMON LAWS as the do not apply. But this thing has to spend at least 2-3 months at the dealership to get repairs done for the warranty to work, all the parts have to come from the dealership. I WOULD NEVER IN THE REST OF MY GRANDCHILDS LIFETIME RECOMMEND THIS BRAND TO ANYONE PERIOD. Show less

We bought the unit new in 2023. First thing that went wrong was the water heater didn’t work. The dealer was able to get Forest River to provide a different brand (Subruban). This was our first experience with an on demand water heater. If we had to do it over again we would chose a regular water heater. The main entry door never did work correctly (still doesn’t) even though the dealer fixed it 3 times. Still doesn’t work right. On our trip back from Michigan (after the door had been fixed) It came open on the highway even though it was locked and the large handle was closed over it! The current trip we are on is to Florida and now the sliding door hinge to the bedroom came off while traveling and the door screws are stripped. We are veteran rv’rs and have had many different types and brands of rv’s/travel trailers over the years and the East/West is the worst. We would never buy this brand again. Show less
