And when Tiffin is unresponsive you cannot rely on Great American RV to intervene on your behalf. I suggest you looks to a different manufacturer and RV dealer.

Thinking about buying a Tiffin RV - READ THIS FIRST On April 14, 2023, we took delivery of a New Tiffin Allegro Bay, 38BB, Super C motorhome. Pros: Love the design, Freightliner Chassis is great, handling and drivability is good, towing is excellent with the Cummins diesel, fuel milage is better than expected; 10mpg, average. Cons: COMPLETELY OUT OF SERVICE FOR OVER 8 MONTHS, not functioning properly since June 28, 2023. The build quality is BEYOND BAD. Problems nearly since day 1 – solar panels wired incorrectly and not working, leveling system failure, slide retract failure STRANDING us in Alaska (FINALLY RETRACTED MANUALLY ON MY OWN SO DRIVABLE), Right Leveling Jack Failure, stranding us a second time (HAD TO COMPLETELY REMOVE THE JACK MYSELF, TOTAL FAILURE of the Electrical System – no control of anything – all screens failed, STRUCTURAL FAILURE, floor under Washer and Dryer collapsed, CRACKED FRAME above front slide, leaky seal in Right Front Headlight, multiple leaks in air system, outside temperature sensor not working (from day 1), trim over cab bunk came loose … Summary: We bought this motorhome to drive from our home in AZ to our Summer Home in AK. These were the issues on our first trip last year, beginning June 15, 2023. The motorhome has been in the dealership and the failures so significant the unit had to be driven back to Tiffin for repairs, which is where it is today – June 6, 2024. Not functioning properly for almost 12 months and has been at the dealership, La Mesa RV, Phoenix, Freightliner, or Tiffin for approaching 9 months. We bought a Tiffin because we thought they were top of the line for quality and service. We no longer have this opinion. #Tiffin, #LaMesaRV, #TiffinMotorhomes, #RVQuality

The good the bad and the ugly: The good: Great floorpan. The Freightliner chases is awesome. Fuel economy is great 9mpg towing my 4,500lb toad or 7,500lb boat. Fit and Finnish is VERY good. Tiffin support is VERY GOOD. Overall we love the coach. The bad: The dealer we purchased it from, La Mesa RV in Mesa, AZ has great sales people but don't count on them to prep the rig properly or to respond to ANY service requests. Just purchase it from them, and forget them. Push hard on the price. Ignore post sales support 'promises'. Once you purchase it, goto East Valley RV specialists for service. The Ugly: I've owned 7 rigs. 5 I purchased brand new. This 2023 has had more initial quality issues than my 4 previous new rigs combined. By initial quality issues, I'm not talking about loose knobs, mis-aligned doors, rattles, etc. If someone is complaining about those things on an RV they probably shouldn't own an RV. Maintenance and aligning and tightening things and tracking down rattles is part of RV life. I'm talking about major issues like hydraulic jack leaks, slides that don''t stay in when parked, bad TV cabling, broken vacuum breaker valves on the black tank clean out which flood the bathroom, bad camera monitor, etc. What do all these things have in common? They aren't made by Tiffin. Tiffin has a supplier quality problem that they need to resolve. Now that they are part of Thor they should re-negotiate all of their suppler contracts to charge back warranty costs for defective parts to the suppliers or choose different suppliers. The next issue is replacement part availability. During the 12mos warranty, we've waited 5mos for various parts. Again, suppliers... Summary: We love our Tiffin. Whenever we've called Tiffin for support they have gone above and beyond to resolve our issues, but they need to put the hammer down on their suppliers to get their act together. Would I purchase another Tiffin? Yes, but with hesitation because of initial quality.

Where do I start? After owning an Airstream (which we still own) we decided to get the class C Tiffin Wayfarer and bought it new. On the way home from the dealer it started breaking down and having issues, and has been in the shop so many times I have lost count and still the issues from the first visit to the service department have not been fixed and it is 10 month old. The slide was not sealed and we found ourselves drenched in the middle of a thunderstorm. We have had wiring problems because Tiffin wired it incorrectly, and water leaks have been a battle because the hose rings have broken. Water damage has ruined our cabinets because they are a cheap press board, and because the quality is so bad, our shelves have literally fallen down. I feel like I am in a Caravan on Grand Tour with Jeremy Clarkson and everything is breaking! I am very disappointed that Tiffin has been uncooperative in getting our warranty work done, and not just flat out not fixing our rig.

I Have to say it is a nice coach but there is some serious quality control issues with it. I purchased a 2023 Allegro Bay 38AB recently and I am very disappointed with the overall quality for the price that I paid. Everywhere from cabinet doors falling off due to stripped out screws, solar wired backwards, Inverter falling off the wall due to more stripped screws, AquaHot leaking diesel, ice maker line pinched by a slide-out so we didn't have an ice maker, etc etc. I must also say Bob Tiffin didn't sign my coach, heck I can't even get anyone to call me back after leaving messages for Bob and his assistant, I just want to discuss the quality control issues that I have experienced. Very disappointed for what I paid for the coach.

I bought a 2023 Tiffin Phaeton 37' motorhome in February 2023 and it was the worst purchase of my lifetime. We gave it back to General RV and they sold it a few weeks ago November of 2023. It was in the shop continuously from the time we bought it except for the one trip we were able to take at the end of June for 10 days. After a few days we lost the hot water, air conditioning and heat and returned with a list of 15 more things that were wrong with it. Everything on the motorhome was sub-quality and I mean everything from the wood work in the interior to cargo doors that wouldn't open when the slide outs were open to trim and electrical/computer problems constantly. The washer and dryer had to be replaced, the dish washer, wood work had scratches and mis -alignment of panels and doors, the computer panels were constantly going out it was a terrible joke. Customer was slow to non-existent and went up the chain but never was able to talk to Bob Tiffin and General RV just want to piecemeal the repairs and get it out of here it has to go we'll be in touch. Bottom including the sales tax and the worthless warranties from General RV we lost an easy $100,000. Since Thor has bought which no-one told us when we bought it at the RV show in Salt Lake City from General RV the quality has totally gone to s..it. If it was a plane me and my wife would be dead. I would highly recommend not buying one and most of the reviews are misleading to say the least.

“Beware” After a month of research, I ended up making the biggest mistake, I chose a 2023 Wayfarer 25RW Tiffin motorhome from Mike Thompson Rv. I paid $175000 for the biggest pile of junk on this planet. Let’s start with the dealership. Sales people are not trained properly on all the products they sell. They lie and say yes to anything you ask to get the Sale. They are suppose to show you how to use all the features, my orientation lasted less than an hour with a person that knew nothing about this particular motorhome, anything I asked, the answer was, I don’t know. I drove out of the dealership without knowing the location of the USB input to activate Apple CarPlay. The following day I spent a whole day on YouTube to figure out how to use everything. I bought this motorhome to start traveling, specifically a Vancouver trip from California. On day #4 we took off from Los Angeles towards Vancouver, did not make it past Sacramento, had to drive back because everything in this motorhome stopped working one after another. First thing we noticed, the refrigerator was not getting cold, it was plugged in while we were loading the motorhome all day, then 8 hours of driving, never got cold. Second, it was a very hot day, to use the air conditioning, I had to leave the generator on, after a couple of hours, the generator stopped running, so now we also lost the air-conditioning. We decided to turn around and head back home before we got stock out in the middle of no where. I drove the motorhome back to the dealership the next day. It is now almost 3 months that I purchased this RV, and it is still in the dealership, I’ve only used it for four days. The dealership doesn’t do any repairs themselves, apparently they drove the RV almost 30 miles out to another location to get the generator fixed, it has been there for over two weeks and now I am told it’s going to be another two weeks before they get it back. After two weeks hopefully if it’s back, they are planning to send it out to another location so that the refrigerator can be fixed. When that is fixed and sent back, they are planning to send Rv back to Mercedes for issues with the key fob & brakes. They say it will be at least another 2 to 4 weeks before I even see the motorhome. When I called to complain about this situation, I was told if I wanted to, I could pick up the motorhome and take it to all these places myself. LOL, so basically I paid $175k for a brand new motorhome to take it from one repair shop to another!!! (I don’t think so) At 60 years old, I thought I have seen it all and learned from my mistakes, boy was I wrong. I called Tiffin motorhomes twice and left a message for someone to call me back and assist with all these issues, no one called. I called Mike Thompson’s Head Quarter, and left several messages for them to call me, finally someone named Bob called and said he would look into it and get back to me, he never did. Basically, I got the short end of the stick. I am in the process of retaining an Attorney to get myself out of this nightmare. I would not recommend Tiffin Motorhome’s, nor would I recommend purchasing an RV from Mike Thompson unless you like playing Russian roulette.

We purchased our brand new bus is May of this year from a Tiffan dealer in Harriston Ontario. There were issues not resolved from day one and every day there after it has been a nightmare. No ladder, DS rear pushout does not go in fully, scratched paint and other paint defects, outdoor entry panel does not work at all, the windshield wipers quite working, the crown molding behind the drivers seat rattles when driving, there is a crack in one of the cabinet doors, the cabinet doors are not lined up, the two push-out behind the pasenger seat leaves marks on the ceramic floor, there are 2 air vents broken and just spin, the undercarriage doors are not aligned, the dealer installed the wrong cooler, the abs traction and collision lights are on and we have been in once and the dealer could not fix, the main spider that controls everything stopped working, Now we are told that we should drive it Red Bay to have all this resolved. When spending the hundreds of thousands on a coach you expect much better quality than this. Where is the consumer protection against horrible manufacturing and quality? TIFFAN'S QUALITY NEEDS HELP
