2022 Nexus reviews

For the time we have had this Rv we have enjoyed it. Due to my husband’s health we need to sell it A great Rv for a couple. Has comfortable theater seats that you could actually sleep in if you wanted to. There is a queen size bed in the back. Full side slide behind driver’s seat Easy to drive, no need to tow a vehicle. Great Rv to go cross country with. Has full paint & a fiberglass roof. Just had it detailed - washed & ceramic waxed. Show less

I really think getting a portable ac and tent would have been easier. Firstly, not sure if it was them or dealer but we took it in to have things repaired on warranty, dealer told us they were all declined by manufacturer. Luckily, at the time Nexus was the same distance from me, went there and they fixed mostly everything. Now current day if we sit in the cab while it’s raining we get to shower for free. The dash lights up like a Christmas tree while we drive. Took that to Ford and they said it’s not covered by vehicle warranty due to the issue being cause by the rv side being improperly built on a wiring harness. I really wanted to love this RV, but man if it wasn’t ever a big mistake. Now we’re stuck here trying to fix all of the issues in Texas since we’ve had a permanent change of station down here. After years of researching we chose Nexus RV because of it's value, what we wanted in an RV, and customer service. Working with a small company gave us peace of mind that we wouldn't be just a "check" to someone. You know, "we've got your $$ now go away". We were able to get what we wanted inside and outside our RV. We've also been able to upgrade things that we wanted / needed but were unable to get. We had our questions answered and issues addressed even after we've had our 2022 Ghost for awhile (2+ yrs and 34+ miles) . Have we had issues? Of course! Show me an RV owner who hasn't. It's the nature of the beast. Nexus RV works hard for it's customers. I'm very proud to be the Passenger Princess of a Ghost Super C rolling down the highway. Ordered the Wraith mid Covid. There were defects which was not unusual during the pandemic. The dealer and Nexus were excellent in dealing with the defects. The unit has now been problem free for more than 1 year. We like it a lot. Drives well, good towing capacity, good fuel economy, and very liveable. We recommend the brand. Show less

The poorest quality and workmanship I have ever had. Only took unit out 3 times as it sat in shop all summer. Engine light came on only for Ford to find screws were drilled in top of gas tank. Ford FOUGHT to get Nexus to pay. Next on the hottest days of summer AC quit working. Had to come home. We brought back to dealer only to have them report 5 major things wrong with air. They completely rewired it. Wasn’t even in ducts, freeze switch never installed into evap coils. Slide out ruined flooring when brought in besides cables out of time. Nexus knows what they are doing. Stall tactics used until they can claim 1 year warranty up. The unit sat at Ford dealership and RV dealer all summer. Guess who got stuck with repair bill on AC and expensive slide out problems on errors CLEARLY made at factory. RUN!!!! Show less

In Fed of 2023, we purchased a 2023 Nexus Rebel 35R from General RV in Tampa, FL. While we want you, the reader, to know that the entire purchase experience with General RV was a disaster (they lied to us and when we brought the RV in as they requested, they didn't have an appointment slot for us), but that's not the reason for this review. Our purpose is to tell the public about our experience with our Nexus Rebel 35R. Here we go. It wasn't any longer than our first trip in the RV (Florida to Mexico) that the problems began. For starters, the roller cover for the left-side slideout did not roll up as it should and as such, was prone to catching the air and acting as a type of sail when the RV was moving. Even worse was that we had to listen to the flapping of cover when the vehicle was stopped. Upon our return to Florida, we immediately notified Nexus Customer Relations of the problem. Nexus promised the problem was going to be fixed in very short order. Well, it was not fixed. We never received any notice from Nexus or General RV that the requisite parts were in and that the RV needed to be brought in. So the RV sat broken and unused in Florida until June of 2023 where we embarked on a trip to see the west. On the way out, we passed through a rainstorm where we discovered multiple pools of water in both the cab and the cabin. We were heading north to Glacier National on a very windy day and because the slide out cover was so loose, the wind completely ripped the roller cover off, leaving only the mounting brackets. Then, when heading south through Wyoming, we discovered that the cab body panel piece located under the driver's door was barely hanging by one screw (three were missing.) I'm not being dramatic by stating that if that panel had come off when the vehicle was in motion, it could have caused someone else's significant injury, or even death. So, in addition to the missing slide cover, multiple leaks, a middle vent that won't stay closed, and a piece of the cab ready to fall off, we have also found more than a dozen screws that had come loose in the cabin. And this is in only 11,000 miles. We paid roughly $200,000 for this RV and this is the quality that we get? This is shameless! Where is the quality control? Why does a $200,000 vehicle have cab parts coming loose and ready to fall off? Does management really see this as acceptable. By the way, even though our RV is built on an International Truck chassis, I know that Nexus is responsible for assembling the RV's cab and as such, it's their lack of quality that allows cab pieces to come loose. I know this because I meet a group of International Truck employees in Montana and one of them gave me his business card. So when we stopped in Arizona, I emailed him and showed him the pics. He clearly stated that IT only provides the chassis and diesel engine.....Nexus does the rest. In our attempt to identify the nearest in-warranty service center in Arizona that we could take our RV to, we reached out to Nexus Customer Relations for assistance with this. It wasn't until we had made multiple requests to the CR manager, as well as having sent a note to Nexus' CEO that we actually heard from CR manager. While this person did provide us with two possibilities in New Mexico, why in god's name did she suggest a facility in Florida when she new darn well we are in Arizona? What is up with this person? Why is she still representing Nexus? In closing, while we were initially proud to have purchased a Nexus RV, we are now ashamed of what we have in our driveway and we wish we had never heard of Nexus RV. Show less

We purchased our new Nexus Phantom 30P in Jan. 2022 and have not been able to take it on a trip yet. The only miles on it are from home to the dealership. We took the dealership to arbitration last year and spent $25K on legal fees and lost. It has been a nightmare since be bought this motor home. The slide out seal was torn, windows leaking, paint flaking off, mold, side boxes filling with water, back up camera not working properly, drivers seat belt fell off wall of cab, water leaks through out the motor home, and so much more. It is at the dealership they have had it over 2 weeks now. I did talk to Dave Middleton CEO at Nexus once and he wanted dealership to fix it properly. Tried to contact him again he never called me back. We are old and tired and so sick of it all. All we can think is what will happen when we actually get to take it on a trip! The motor home is a lemon and the dealership we bought it from are dishonest and don't know how to fix anything right. I not recommend a Nexus RV. Buyer Beware for sure. Show less

Constant Tpms error warnings. Ford has not fixed. Nexus says it is ford's problem. Trim was nailed up with too much pressure on staple gun trim falling apart repeatedly. Electrical problems on motorhome hot wires routed through leaf springs shorting them out. Cheap radio stereo screen strobes when the headlights are on. Dealer unable to get parts. This unit has been back to dealer for multiple trips and multiple days at a time. 1 month old 1500 miles and nexus left a bunch of problems for the dealer but does not supply parts yet. Show less

We put all our savings in this Nexus, to travel in our golden years. Never could we have imagined the nightmare, sleepless nights, headaches from this machine. I wont talk about the usual things people complain about, we had all those too. It's the safety issues and factory inadequacies that i must bring up. Nexus did take back the first 2022 model. Gasoline leaks and smell inside camper. Water leaks in walls and floors. Huge water leaks in cab over bunk caused shorting of dash, check engine light and loss of cameras, radio. They sent another at end of August. We had planned a cross Canada trip, and no time left test the new one. It was missing electric step, rear stabilizers, lane assist, swivel seats, Intermediately even more serious issues. It was hard to believe, the new 2023 model was worse. Should not have left the factory. Slide stuck, blew main 200 amp fuse. Found 25 screws jamming slide. Generator shook violently and had to be shut off. While inside inspecting and cleaning for trip, I smelled gasoline real bad , again! I saw daylight through holes in floor behind seats, and rear wall of master bed. Fumes coming in from them! A noise could be heard with engine off, and coach power switched off. I ran outside to find gasoline pouring out of generator. It was switched off, but electric fuel pump was stuck on, pumping gas out carb. I had to remove power wires and fuse to stop it. No time to fix, leaving next day. Ford dealer could not fix steering wheel either, too busy. Was mounted sideways, blocking speedo! At a stop to selling dealer, they felt awful bad we had to drive like this. They had to give us another mattress from a new camper as ours was unusable. While they installed it, they slipped on water...coming out fresh water tank. We opened up cover to inspect...found normally flat water tank was ballooned with straps broken off clean. It leaked at seams. No time to replace, I opted to continue without using water tank! 1000 kms into drive, rain started. Water poured in onto our knees! Then it shorted the dash lights, cruise control, traction lights on! lost back up and side cameras. We had to stop overnight. Next day the sun came out and we continued, too far in now. I stopped at hardware store to buy silicone, rubber seals, tape...as inspection of roof to cab area showed damage. At factory, multiple dents where cab to bunk seal is caused water to simply pour in. Just plain bad workmanship. I sealed the crack, it's ugly but it worked! no more water. I cant imagine workers on the line just letting this go with obvious damage to roof. The fresh water tank had vent hose twisted so many times, it was blocked tight. That is why the water tank ballooned. I crawled in and repaired the hose vent because using the toilet on the go was important. We could put half a tank now, but it still leaked at night. My wife slipped on water at night going to toilet. She hurt her hip. This really upset me. When you drive with water, gray and black tanks full, the motorhome drags it's back. This causes high headlights and frustrates other drivers to the point where they chase you down One guy stopped me for sparks under camper. The propane extension hose was dragging on road, full of gas! Turns out there is no place to fasten it from factory, so it simply falls to road. I had not used it and had to strap it to frame myself. My dealer in Ottawa dropped the Nexus line from 49 stores. Now, Nexus wont honor warranty. And to clarify why Nexus replaced the first Phantom 24P, It had multiple holes drilled in walls, floors, tanks. Yes 6 holes drilled into gas tank! Ford would not cover it, so Nexus bought a tank. It was like someone at factory vandalized it on purpose. It's clear to me that Nexus puts put unsafe RV's. Bad quality, that's a given, but how come these machines can even leave the factory, putting customers in danger ? Show less

Warranty was not covered when it clearly was within the warranty period. I would not recommend buying any Nexus product. Shabby work on the coach. Unbelievable the hoops a owner must jump through to get work done. Took our money then no responsibility. If I could I would now even give 1 star for craftmanship. Show less
