We've had our trailer now for almost 2 years. While I'm happy with the towability and liveability, I'm less than impressed with the craftsmanship. I assume east to west has their own quality AVOIDANCE department and they are doing a superb job. Maybe they should think about quality control. The first trip we took the gasket between the coach and the slide-out came out. Seems it was never fastened down. Next the screws which hold the panel over the winterization valves were stripped out after the dealer winterized it. Also the screws which hold the panel over the water heater bypass were stripped out. This was not the dealers fault. You can't expect large thread wood screws to hold in 1/8 to 1/8 paste board. The unit was cold during our first fall and I found that the heat ducting was never connected to the heater unit. Oh and the screws holding that panel in place were also stripped out. We tried to open the drawers on the somewhat useless anyway drawer unit under the bed and never could get them to work. When I took them out and put a tri-square on them they were so crooked they could never have worked. The frame holding the drawers in the kitchen was never fastened correctly so the whole frame moved when you opened a drawer. The plywood under the prison mattress was cut 6 inched too short so the mattress hung over the edge. The LED light on the side of the coach near the low point drains simply fell off somewhere between home and Texas. I've got roughly 100 hours in fixing the crappy craftsmanship. When I brought this to the attention of the manufacturers rep at our travel show he simply walked away

I have had the worse experience ever, the dealer has had the trailer 5 months out of the time I have owned it the airconditioner does work in auto fan. The slide had a short in the 12v system that was because they ran the wiring through aluminum support that chaffed through a wire and had 1 1/2 screws in the same tubing, it only needs about 1/2 in length screws in it. The dealer hasn't helped nor has East to West support it is like they all sit at their desk and laugh at emails all-day

Now comes the next season and now I have a short in the circuit that runs the tv and stereo. So it being a lift system tv cant raise the tv and the Kicker is the tv blocks all the wiring so can even see where the problem is. Now comes too east to west customer service, There is none. They responded to my last review just so it looked good and asked me to email them I did 4 months with no reply. If you think they will do something they wont so if you buy one you are at the mercy of your dealer and even they are fed up and tell you sorry they cant even get them to pay for parts

Worst craftsmanship by far. Bought the rig brand new last year. Most of the wood trim fell off the walls during the first trip because it was just stapled, no adhesive? Had to go through and tighten all the plumbing connections as they were all loose enough to leak. Kitchen sink was draining inside the island for almost two weeks before we found it, was really fun to clean up. Both exhaust fans stopped working within the first 6 months. The furnace blower fan is on the fritz, it’s a struggle to even get the furnace going right in time for winter. I inspected the furnace, the frame the blower is mounted into is cracked. Not sure how the metal could break in a tight space like that, unless the installer did it. I would not call this an all season rig. I can feel drafts coming from the slide seals, especially the bottom. I can see day light around the door frame, as the trim used to cover the gap fell off during the first move. Garbage. The best part, still fighting with Camping World over the warranty they sold us, haven’t had a single thing fixed or replaced.

This camper is great for a couple who may bring grand children or guests. The king size bed a full size shower is important to someone who is 6’5”. As for the living space. Having a large kitchen, dining table and living room creates great conversations during prepping for meals.

We bought a East to West Tandara 321RL-OK in August of 2021 At Camping World in Katy, Texas. Had problem with leaking water in under storage and inside by couch. I fixed leak in storage. I had to tighten all water fittings. Leak by couch I could not fix. Had problem with A/C not working on low. I took back to Camping world. They could not find anything wrong with A/C or my refrigerator. They told me my refrigerator was stubborn. The fixed the leak by the couch. it was in the shop for 3 months. I get it back and A/C not working on low. I paid 150.00 for an rv tech com come out and fix my A/C. There was a wire not hooked up right . Now my Refrigerator is out, spoiled our food. trim is coming off inside trailer by refrigerator and slide. Front slid is jumping, door came off of sink cabinet, panel came off of fire place, and glass came off of door in bedroom closet. Taking i t back to Camping world on August 02, 2022 for repairs. This East to West trailer is poor quality. Tried trading in for new one, but the value of trailer is 31,500.00 half what I paid for it 11 months agp. Camping World service department is not the best

Bought brand new. Excellent floor plan , very spacious. Very happy with purchase. However, a few things to keep in mind( as this has happened to us). There will always be “issues” with every RV purchase. The window design is terrible, not user friendly. Most of my windows clamps that hold on to the window when open were installed crooked. It take 2 people to open/ close the big windows. Another issue is the water line fittings. We seem to have an ongoing issues with water leaks. Finally discovered the rubber gaskets at the connections are poorly made. We have replaced ALL connections with brass PEX fittings. Hope this helps . Overall, I’m happy with this RV. Remember.. regular maintenance is an absolute must do . Be aware of everything.( we had water gather in the belly of the trailer…. So be aware of any changes. Happy camping 😄

We have had our East to West Alta 2850 KRL for a tad over a year now. We’ve used it 8 times since purchasing it. Our first trip the water heater wouldn’t fire due to a valve issue from the factory (I haven’t dealt directly with East to West so didn’t feel I could give 5 stars for warranty/support) that was not caught upon PDI from the dealer. Frustrating as we went with no hot water the entire trip but upon returning home it was taken care of and the dealer refunded us for the PDI. Minus that issue, there were a few interior trim pieces missing from the factory and taken care of when the water heater issue was addressed. The unit is towed with an 18’ Ram 2500 coal roller and is more then enough for this particular model. I would feel safe to say a 1/2 ton truck could handle this model as advertised without issue as well. The layout is great for my Wife, Son, myself and our two small dogs. Plenty of room for “everyone”. We are looking forward to many more adventures with the Alta and if someone is in the market for a new bumper pull unit I would absolutely recommend East to West.

It actually a 286 RL-OK but it’s not on the list. From a company that says that they stand behind their quality We had really high hopes for this camper. This was my first one and it had really put a sour taste in my mouth. I don’t even want to list the number of things wrong with it because there are so many, but the big ones were a structural screw coming out from the floor breaking the vinyl floor and the outdoor kitchen door being able to open when locked. Who ever does quality control here, clearly there isn’t any. To the added fact that is was in the shop for over 6 months getting it fixed, and since forest river does not extend the warranty during the time the camper is down, it is no longer under warranty. It was in the shop longer than we used it on its first year, go figure. This industry really needs a rude awaking that customers will not settle for crap. If they were only held to the same standards as the automotive dealer industry. Then I’d see why these things are so expensive, but they arnt worth the wood that they are screwed/hacked together with. Having only a 1 year warranty just shows me they don’t even trust their build quality. I’ll most likely be going to a jayco after this camper. I don’t even know how forest river is still afloat because it sounds like all their products are junk. Stay away from east to west, and further more anything by forest river, do your research and look over new campers with a fine tooth comb. Forest river is very guilty of bad quality for a while now with their new campers, but I know they are not the only company that is.
