We bought the rv knowing it wasn’t a high-end purchase and so we could get comfortable with the RV hobby before buying a larger one. We had to have a major repair to the slide within the first year, and now on year two, there was a substantial back window leak that was invisible until our floor became super mushy. Even having it brought for yearly maintenance didn’t matter. This has to be either a design flaw or just poor workmanship. It is not covered by the warranty, so this will be 8-10k just to fix this one thing. I don’t suggest this RV make and model at all.

We bought this new in 221. We have used it for 2 trips of at least 30 days, 2 trips of at least 10 days, then several weekend trips. So we’ve traveled quite a bit. Pros: this had the layout we were looking for. In that area we are pleased. Electric heater does a great job, so we rarely have to use propane. We also like the comfy lounge chairs that have heaters. Cons: most are quality and design problems. Cabinet door above TV fell off during first week of travel. Undersized hardware was used, and repairs made after our return. Another quality issue was use of machine screws to hold metal skirt on outside of trailer. Several failed, so I replaced with nuts and bolts, which should have been used in the first place. Cabinet door to left of slide doesn’t stay closed, so we have to be careful when moving slide in or out. AC was temperamental at first, but has come around. We have been pleased with our Stratus. That being said, we would buy a better known and higher quality RV if we had to do this again. We’ve put about 15,000 miles on it and have had no major problems.

Our Venture 2021 Sonic SN231VRK was nothing but problems. Worked fine for first 4 week trip in 2021, after the slide had to be repaired right from the start. In 2022 the slide failed again in August, after only a couple short trips and was repaired under extended warranty. In early summer 2023 slide failed again. Service shop stated all screws had come out of fridge and table area. The floor of slide and sides are weak which allows the slide to go out at an angle which causes schwintec gears to fail. The shop suggested the floor and sides have x bracing installed. They called Venture and got no help of course. I also found the windows were never tighten properly and I had a soft spot in the floor after only two years? Must have been leaking from the start. Got rid of the lemon.

Love the size and layout. Comfortable and just the right size. Pulls smoothly. Now the bad part. The slide contains the kitchen table and refrigerator. The whole weight is held by the slides and is cantilevered into the trailer. Too much weight and shaking while going down the road. The refrigerator lost all the top screws on one short trip. I am on the third repair of the slide. It gets stuck and will not go out. The motor burnt out once and the slide rails broke twice. Since there is no Venture warranty on my two year old trailer, I am having rollers added under the slide for support, hopefully that will fix the problem. Also, we found a soft spot in the floor, caused by poor window Gaskets. Windows will have to be pulled and reset with silicone. Check the windows and add silicone on the top and sides where they are not tight against the trailer. Expensive repairs. We had a Forrest River Wolf Pup for 4 years with no problems.

After living in the trailer for a year, I've found so many flaws and outright construction mistakes that I could watch it burn and have no regrets. The front axle bent somehow I can't run the water heater on propane because it sets off the carbon monoxide detector. Solved by switching to propane. The glass cover for the stove shattered between sites. Not being able to find a replacement, I waited to be in a site I knew I'd be in for a while and ordered one, doing the replacement myself. The latest is the slideout. Operation is come and go. It drags the floor, snaps and makes loud bangs. Again, I'll have to wait till I'm in a place I intend to be for a while and get someone to repair it. Had I known how cheaply this trailer was built, I wouldn't have bought it.

We love our Sonic. With that said. Its a great lite weight trailer for livability and function. We bought it in Nov 2020 so we did not use it until spring of 2021. Now Aug of 2022 little over one year we noticed that the tongue looked like it is bending upward. We compared it to our photos when it was new and sure enough it is bending. So I called the dealer, sent photos and wouldn't you know it, its no longer covered in the ONE YEAR WARRANTY. It has not been off road other than a developed campgrounds. The roads and highways here are probably worse than off roading so I'm not surprised things bend. So it appears that the C channel cross member is very weak. Some frame manufacturers have 2 year warranties. Bad luck for me. So it is up to me to get it fixed. I would make sure before buying a Venture RV product that they warrant the frame if made by BAL for longer than 1 year. Now Im stuck with getting it repaired. I sent an email to Venture but have not heard back.

Besides the expected flaws caused by overly rushed factory workers fighting the clock, I have found that the trailer was built to a standard that, had I known before I bought it, would have changed my mind. I found that, if I used propane to heat the water and the wind blew too hard, the carbon monoxide alarm would go off. I resolved the problem by switching the heater to electrical. In doing this, I've accepted the fact that I won't be able to " boondock", or stay overnight without being hooked up to shore power. I had to install a light beneath the bed because it was so dark in there. The tempered glass cover for the stove shattered while I was moving from one site to the next. Not being able to find a Venture dealer within 100 miles, I ordered one and installed it myself. The latest and greatest was when the awning quit working. It was fully extended and, after a call to the dealership I bought it from, I was able to use a battery drill to roll it up. I haven't been able to use it for at least a month, so I ordered a new switch and motor from a dealer near my site, where I had to stay extra time in order for them to get the parts. I got the parts and installed them, only to find the awning would not work. I'm now frustrated. Here's the cause of my frustration: In the fuse panel, to the right of each fuse, is a red light that only lights when the fuse is either blown or withdrawn. The light beside the fuse for the awning does not light, leading me to believe there is no power to that fuse. I'm at my wits' end now and don't know what else to try.

We purchased the 2021 343 VBH adventure sport trek Aug 2021. The hose from the toilet had a leak due to a default in the hose that filled the under belly with water . This leak occurred the 2nd time we stayed in it. The floor now has yellow spots that are spreading and the wood under the floor is buckling. The insulation is soaking wet. We contacted the manufacturer and the sales . We have been informed that it is not their problem. I would not recommend this company . Our camper has been at the camper lot for over a month waiting on floor repairs that they will not cover.
