The Newmar Bay Star 3626 Coach floor plan was the key factor in our choice to purchase one used. This is our second RV, we had a Class C MH prior, sold it, and decided to upgrade to a Class A MH about a year later. The 3626 features 4 slides, 2 in the Master Bedroom and 2 in the Living / Kitchen area. The MBR features a Serta Posturepedic Hybrid full size King mattress, Samsung LED TV, Blu-Ray DVD Player and tons of storage. Next to the MBR is a closet with connections for a future stacked washer/dryer unit. Across from the closet is the bathroom featuring a full size shower with skylight and automatic fantastic roof fan. The bathroom also has ample storage cabinets and both LED ceiling and vanity lighting. Immediately behind the Co Pilot seat is the main entry door to the coach which leads up to a large living room and kitchen / dining area. There are two recliners opposite the fold out sofa couch queen size bed. Behind the sofa is the Televator containing a Samsung 43" LED TV with Bose Sound Bar on top. All TV's in the coach (3) are remotely connected to the HDMI distribution system above the driver in the Entertainment Electronics Cabinet. DVD Player located above driver is connected to LR and Exterior TVs. A second HDMI distribution hub is installed for a satellite receiver. Also in the cabinet is the WiFiRanger Spruce Router and power supply and provides a dedicated WiFi network for the everything in the coach. The Dinette area will seat 4 adults comfortably, and also will collapse down to form a bed for kids. Overall the rig can sleep 4 adults and 2 kids. The Kitchen is opposite the Dinette and features a double wide AC / LP French door refrigerator with Ice Maker, 3 burner LP Gas Cook-top, Combination Microwave / Convection oven above the cook-top. Double stainless sinks and solid surface counters round out the kitchen. We have put ~8000 miles on this coach since purchasing it in May of 2022. Although we are not the original purchasers, we contacted Newmar for support and they have been fantastic to work with, they truly stand behind their products! This is a solid, well built coach, and everything works as designed. Outside there is a 21' canopy that can be extended either manually or using the included wireless remote control. Additionally the awning has a wind sensor that an retract the awning automatically in high winds (although we only deploy the awning if we are using it). Under he canopy is the outdoor TV Cabinet which allows the display of OTA, DVD, or Satellite programs. Note all 3 TV's in the coach are connected by WiFi and are Smart TV's. We give high scores (5s) rating this RV with our only 3 on Driving / Towing. Towing is limited to 5000 pounds, depending on loading this may be reduced based on actual weight. That being said, we towed our Jeep Wrangler Sahara all over the place with no problems whatsoever. To improve drive ability during high winds, or being passed by a semi, we replaced the Front OEM Anti Sway Bar with a HD one from Roadmaster. We also added a Roadmaster Auxiliary HD Anti Sway Bar to the rear of the coach. Further, we replaced all the shocks with KONI for a much improved and enjoyable drive. Lastly, but significant to point out, we've installed the 5 Star Custom Tune on the engine which yielded vastly improved power and shifting points in the Ford F53 V10 26K Chassis. All the house batteries (6) have been replaced with AGM Deep Cycle batteries and provide 570 AH capacity and no maintenance. Four are located in a tray compartment on the driver side and two are located up in the engine compartment. If you are in the market for a Class A coach on a budget, you will not be disappointed in this unit.

We have been long, long time campers. My first trip was with my family when I was 11 from Chicago to the World's Fair in Seattle in 1964. Never turned back from there. Pop ups, trailers up to 38 feet, Class C Motorhome. When we decided to move up to a Class A coach, we did a lot of research. We got down to Newmar and Tiffin. The Newmar floor plans and innovations sold us on them. Then we settled in on the floorplan that worked best for us, the 3412. We chose it for the length: It was large enough to have all the amenities we wanted and short enough to get into almost all state and national park campgrounds. We chose the 3412 floorplan because it included a queen sofa sleeper and a super comfortable recliner, both of which face the 50" televator TV. We also wanted a four person booth dinette to accommodate guests. We bought our 2020 Ventana 3412 in June of 2020. It was built in the Newmar plant in Nappanee in May 2020. We had been looking for the longest time for a used 3412 without success. Our dealer in Orlando, Independence RV had three new Ventana coaches in stock so we went to have a look. We fell in love with our Chateau decor Ventana. We had the normal little things that needed adjustment. Independence RV did a great job of getting things fixed. There was a recall on the vent windows delaminating and we got two with the problem fixed in Denver while traveling and two others back in Orlando when we finished our trip. We traveled in the Ventana for three of the six months we owned it in 2020 during Covid. It was really easy to find campsites wherever we went. Our 2021 trip was over seven months and we covered a lot of the mid section of the country. Booking campsites was a little harder this time. In 2022 we did two three month trips up the east coast as far as Philly on one. Then went up the east central US for the second. The coach is a delight. It drives like a dream. The panoramic vista through the front windshield is absolutely spectacular. And because it is a diesel pusher, it is super, super quiet. Only wind noise on the windshield. It is a perfect coach for two people-it feels like home or at least like a Residence Inn. Our coach has all the bells and whistles- all electric with Oasis Hydronic heating for the water, the floors and a furnace for when the temp drops below 40 degrees. Induction cooktop, dishwasher, a convection microwave, washer and dryer, a safe. The Whirlpool residential electric refrigerator/freezer has It has Newmar's Comfort Drive Steering system that is adjustable so you get just the right amount of "feel" you need based on your driving situation. It even has hot water in the front generator compartment that really makes a difference when you are trying to get the day's crop of bugs off the windshield and front cap. As we were considering the coach, my wife insisted she did not want a washer and dryer. After our first trip, she realized she couldn't live without it. Honestly, we use the dishwasher to store wine most of the time. The shower has a WaterMiser system that circulates the water from the water tank through the on demand Oasis system in a loop. There is an indicator button just below the shower control handle that changes color to let you know that the hot water is at the shower. Saves precious water when you are running from your fresh tank and don't want to needlessly fill the grey tank. This is a top quality motor coach. There are even courtesy lights along the floor path from the master bedroom to the bathroom for those late night trips. This is the perfect coach for two people. Fine to have two guests for short people. All the maintenance has been done by the dealer or by Freightliner Oasis dealers. It is up to date and ready for your next adventure!

It has been eight months since we sold our 2020 Dutch star. Still admire how awesome they look as we see them on the road. Our motor home was loaded. Had electric heated floors , an oasis hot water system, and fully automated awnings all the way around. We flat towed a Jeep. However, selling it was a huge relief. We are finished with RV ing after 10 years, especially with Newmar. Every time we went out, we had issues to deal with. Many were ongoing. The service we received from our dealer and Newmar was very slow. Fast service from dealers away from home was nonexistent. We were left stranded or experienced weeks of waiting several times. This was our third motorhome. We bought a Newmar because we expected fewer problems and better service. We received neither. When a person buys a high priced item, naturally expectations are also higher. Newmar and our dealer failed us. Finally we had enough. In the middle of a three month trip to Canada, we made the decision to sell. Peace has come to us at last.

Great looking and comfortable coach but that’s where the good ends. The coach has been back to the factory twice and back to the dealership numerous times with minor and major issues. Newmar only gives a 12 month warranty on the “house” systems and will not help with what would seem reasonable expectations of basic structural and electrical failures related to their suppliers. This is my second Newmar coach (2015 London Aire and 2020 Essex). I would not recommend anyone buy a Newmar and plan to sell my Essex in the near future (hopefully I’ve repaired the majority of deficiencies for the next owner).

The move to a commercial chassis C Class RV was intentional to get the safety benefits of a lot of metal in front of the driver and passenger, as well as the convenience of drivetrain maintenance from 1,000's of repair shops across the nation. The Superstar is exceptionally manufactured and offers its owners luxury and reliability. The full residential refrigerator, and compact washer and dryer make this unit perfect for weekend getaways and longterm stays. Driveability is excellent with the RV able to track down the lane even in strong crosswinds. The Cummins 9L motor is well-equipped to handle towing up to 20,000lbs. Although we have never reached that limit, we can say that it tows a 5,000lb car with ease. Living in Colorado we can also attest to its ability to climb and decent mountain roads with very little effort. The motor holds temperature well and self-adjusts the transmission gearing on climbs leaving little to do for the driver but aim it down the road. When arriving at the campsite the Superstar is easy to set up in 20 minutes or less. One-touch auto-leveling is fantastic! And the electric slides work flawlessly, even on the large 20 foot wall slide that is Newmars signature. Note - when comparing Newmar Super C RV's to others it should be stated that Newmar worked closely with TransWest to design a very specific Box-to-Cab connection. The box of the Superstar is separate from the cab, connected by an accordian-type bellows. This keeps the box and cab independent avoiding structural problems that can occur on competitive models. Its truly revolutionary. No complaints here for the Superstar! A great all-around capable, maintainable, and reliable RV.

My driving instructor says it now rides almost as nice as a DP. The floor plan is ideal for me. The TV across from the recliners was a must. The workmanship is excellent. Unlike my previous RV, I have it found one piece of split wood. Did it have issues initially? They all do. However, Newmar has been excellent at addressing all of the issues in a timely manner. I hope this lasts a long time and they keep this floor plan. My hope is that I will buy at least one more MotorHome. My first choice would be a Newmar, assuming they keep the quality up and remain affordable, under Winnebago’s umbrella.

The floor plan is ideal for me. This is a great coach with a good size bathroom. The kitchen is well appointed with sufficient counter space, and nice pantry. Especially appreciated is the tv on the televator, directly across from the recliners. It drove ok right out o the factory, having done research on the f53 chassis MotorHome, I immediately did a number of suspension upgrades. The driving school instructor said it now rides almost like a diesel pusher, except for the engine noise (being that the engine is right under us). Have there been problems? It is a MotorHome. Of course. However, the customer service at Newmar has been outstanding (with the exception of my call to the emergency number, on the road. No one answered and no one returned the call). However, they have addressed every issue and I am very happy with the coach, and very happy with Newmar. I hope to buy another before the end of my roving days.

We bought the referenced coach brand new, viewed only on the web. It was delivered to us by a third party delivery service, so no walk-through was done to address the deficiencies, which are many. IF we are able to get those warranty items addressed (still have not been able to make an appt), we would certainly be happy with this coach with few complaints. The main concern is drivability. The coach sways and is difficult to drive. Even after 6k miles. IMO, the chassis is too short for this model. Does anyone else experience similar issues, and what have you done to correct or otherwise address?
