We had 14 defective issues after inspecting our 2020 AF. .. interior and exterior. We brought our 5th in for service and they were able to address 10 problems. But not the most costly 4. Northwoods would not cover them. I called and had to leave messages that they never returned! They simply do not answer the phone!! Also, there were cosmetic issues.. chalk and glue smeared everywhere!! A big gash on the bathroom floor from what looked like a heavy tool that fell on it, and was filled will putty. .. the kind that doesn't harden! Puckered carpet in 2 areas. .. and more! Now, 3 years later, the water and waste sensors don't work! So we have no idea what level our tanks are! Our automatic leveling Jack's don't work, a bar broke on the main slide-out, and needs welding. These campers are very expensive compared to 'average' units!! One would expect quality and customer service to be top priority to the company (Northwoods)! But that is far from!! We never would have bought one of these campers, had we known!!

We bought the trailer new in Spokane WA and took it home to Ohio. Since then we taken it to Fort Myers Florida and many points between Florida and Northern Ohio, not to mention a couple trips to Northern Michigan. With travel trailers expect to have a hick up here and there, it’s common with moving a box on wheels. Speed bumps, pot holes, quick stops for reckless or drifty drivers finding enough space to cut in front of you. As for this 26N - it is the best and can stand proud beside an airstream, without the price tag. Trailers well, rugged and very well designed. Floor plan is efficient, and the included equipment is durable. It’s a great 4 season rig - we tested it down in the teens through Montana to the full Florida sun. Go with the LP 3500 watt onan genset and solar - it really works! When storing use a cover and we even put 1/2” 4x8 sheets of pink foam insulation on the roof and under the cover for those oh by the hail storms that sometimes frequent Ohio - works well and provides great ventilation- preventing mildew and extends life of chalking. If your slide gets cocked (caused by not holding in/out button couple seconds after slide stops - stopping in between interfere with auto sync between motors) just extend til it stops and retract in 10” and stop - then extend again - do this at least 3 times and poof - the motors re-sync and done. So don’t get scared off by the negative ninnies - this is a quality rig and it’s on the best frame in the business! Built to go off grid. How important is a frame? Very, a substandard frame will cause corners to loosen and separate - I’ve seen it on a fifth wheel and I felt sorry for that owner. You won’t see that on Northwoods frame. There’s is more I could say good on the Nash, like grease fitting on easy lub hubs (money saver on bearings and spindles), springs and shocks (give great ride and stability), trailer brakes are durable (two years of use and still strong - I use them often to counter cushion effect from truckers passing - just use brake controller to apply a little brake as semi sucks it in and poof it settle out with no worries). When you do your first chalking - run a bead over the horizontal of the rock guard and you’ll never have the issues the one reviewer had with moisture (I haven’t had to rechaulk yet and everything is dry so far. So to close - we love our rig!

Northwood manufacturing it terrible we tried to communicate with them nut they just delayed us and rudely we were told to talk to a guy that turned out to be a salesman once we actually got back in touch with them the warranty department pretended they had no idea this was going on but were not willing to do anything more. There was so many issues with this little camper BUYER BEWARE stay away from Northwood Mfg the products are terrible and getting worse.

Nash21 review In early 2020, my wife and I replaced our 2015 Forest River A-frame camper, with a Northwood, Nash 21K. Although we had a lot of adventures with that A-frame, and it always served us well, it had gotten to the point where it started to feel as small and compact as a Hobbit hole in the Shire hillsides. And to make matters worse, trying to dead-lift the 200# plus roof assembly, was about as arduous and frightening for us, as it must have been for Frodo Baggins, trying to make it to Mordor, to cast his ring of power into the volcano under Mt. Doom. We bought our new Nash at Thunder RV in La Grande, Oregon. Thunder RV sells Nash campers, as well as Arctic Fox Toy Haulers. Plus, they also sell Keystone products. Northwood builds Nash and Arctic Fox products right in La Grande, and Keystone, is built just up the road in Pendleton, Oregon. And of course, as everyone knows, Pendleton was put on the map years ago, thanks to the Pendleton Woolen Mills, and the fine wool products they make. The Nash served us very well this year, and we put around 4,000 miles on it, and spent over 20 days on the road. It came with a 20-watt solar panel, and we added an additional 70-watt panel on the roof top. With a mere 90 watts of output, (on a sunny day!) we were able the keep the 2-12-volt RV batteries charged, letting us dry camp several nights along the Yellowstone, and other Montana rivers in September, as we headed east to the Dakota States. Other than a small problem with the 12-volt electric awning extending properly, the Nash performed flawlessly, and I would recommend Nash Camper products to anybody! And for what it is worth, we would recommend Thunder RV anytime…and while you are in La Grande, you may also be to take a tour of the Northwood factory, if you get there at the right time and day! And it is always a hit to drive up to Pendleton and visit the Woolen Mills Outlet Store!

Bought a 2020 811 truck camper based on what I’d heard and read about the Arctic Fox brand of RV’s. My brother also owned a 2012 version of the same camper and had nothing but good things to say. Oh how times change. I’ve had multiple problems with my 811 and thus far my experiences with Northwood customer service have been less than stellar. They have either referred me to an appliance manufacturer for resolution of a problem, or completely neglected to get back to me, or have not followed through with commitments made over the phone. The problems: Fridge runs constantly on gas or electric; a large loom of wires was draped unsupported over a water supply hose coming out of the pressure-demand pump, and the dynamic loading from traveling weakened the fitting. The fitting broke while the pump was switched on but no water was flowing, and the release of pressure caused the pump to kick on and water poured out of the broken fitting and into the basement. The dining room table trim is falling off from the perimeter of the table, and the weather sealing throughout is horrible. Opening the hampers on either side of the bed in cold weather is like opening a walk-in freezer, and donning clothes that were stored in them is seemingly like putting on clothes that were stored in an igloo. Using the USB ports on either side of the bed results in the ports annunciations a high-pitched whine that is nearly impossible to sleep through. Insulation of various exterior compartments is almost non-existent, even though this unit is advertised as a “4-season” RV. Sealing of the rear exterior compartments is ineffective, causing water and dirt to accumulate inside them. Compartment doors and hinges are so flimsy that they sag badly when opened, and locks are cheap. Considering the price charged for this camper none of these problems should exist. Northwood charges a premium for their offerings, although given the current trend of inferior materials and workmanship quality they won’t be doing that for long. I foresee them losing significant market share as a result of their profit-only business strategy, whilst neglecting quality workmanship and materials. It’s evident that even the (historically) better manufacturers have elected to provide hugely inferior products and workmanship in the interests of cost reduction, while maintaining high retail pricing to maximize earnings. I had initially planned on stepping up to an AF 5th wheel eventually, but I won’t be spending another penny on another AF unless they undertake a major turnaround over the next few years.

Recently purchased a new 2020 25W from Kelly RV in Milton PA. I'm a first time trailer owner. First, The team at Kelly did a super job prepping the rig on the day of pickup. All the "options" and Reese Wt distributing hitch ready to go after they provided a very thorough walk-through and operations. Great Sales and service group! Now for the trailer: I took it on an 800mi maiden voyage up to northern NY for a week of Steelhead/salmon fishing. Being a novice at big-box tow (F250 6.7 T powerstroke) it took a bit of white-knuckling for the first hour or so, but ya necessarily pick it up quickly. To an experienced big-box puller, this has got to be easy stuff. Pulled into my friend's property, leveled and set up boondocked. No popped screws or sawdust anywhere in the trailer! Days were low 50's (at best) night's were high 30s. The trailer was warm and cozy the entire time, even through a full day of 45mph winds with sideways rain/sleet (not a good fishing day). All the services worked perfectly. It used only a fraction of the LP in one tank for the entire week (thermostat at 65 at night). Had 2 Optima Blue batteries and 170W solar added as options, never ran out of juice even thru a 36H period with no/little sunlight. Recharged back to full by late morning... amazing. Fresh water tank (shower every day etc) had 1/3 left, grey(s) and black were at 1/3 full. and the heated/massaging recliners are a godsend after a day walking a big river. Bottom line - the AF25W is very comfortable, well equipped and frankly, just easy to get comfortable with. So to a first-timer, on his first solo boondock voyage, the trailer is fantastic. I'll do another review after a few more trips.

Traded in our 2016 27-5L for the newer, larger 28-5C, and have been very happy with the decision. Appreciating the quality build of the first Arctic Fox, we decided to stay with Northwoods Manufacturing. We are fulltime Rvers, and the larger 28-5C is proving to be perfect for us. It has the same bath and bedroom as the smaller 27-5L, with the increase in size devoted to the living area. The galley kitchen, with island, large pantry and coffee bar area is very user friendly. The couch faces the TV (why does it not in SO many rvs??)...and the bench seating and table gives the two of us ample room for our laptops, phones, coffee cups, etc. The added fireplace is great for quick heating on chilly mornings, or for ambience in the evening. We have had one major issue, with the living room slide, and the factory was instrumental in getting it repaired quickly. They were on the phone with our local repair shop, and the problem was resolved quickly and easily. We paid the bill and received a check from Northwoods (it was under warranty) for reimbursement within a week or so. No complaint there! I would have really liked central vac, but it is no longer an option. All in all, we are more than happy with our Arctic Fox and will remain a devoted customer.

We just purchased the 26N from North West RV, Spokane WA and almost home in Ohio with it. We made the trip there and back through snow, ice, and Rocky Mtns. Wonderful trip and quite an adventure - a good experience! The NW team had everything ready for us and spent the time going over every in of the rig with us - from setting up the hitch to how they winterized the water system. Did I mention this is our first TT. We have zero complaints and the trailer is definitely a four season TT - everything functions and no quality issues as of yet. We are planning a Florida trip this March and will keep you posted on the TT. We have been looking for our first trailer for last couple years but not happy with defects that jumped out as we went trough them - and being an avid hunter I needed a four season to replace a mountain tent. We are pulling with a 2016 6.2 F-250 (gas) with a brake controller. Pulled great and averaged little over 11 mpg
