The fact that this unit has 5 slide outs which opened the livability areas of this RV is crazy good. When in tow with a vehicle designed for this size of unit, you really don't know that it is behind you. It rides very sturdy in bad weather situation and stays stable when all jacks are down giving you the home feeling. This unit from the factory was designed to be used in RV parks plugged in for power and comforts while out with the family, however this unit had a professionally installed Onan 6500 LP Generator which allows this unit to be used off grid 100% The master sleeps (2) with that home feeling, the up-stairs loft sleeps (2) and they (2) pull out couch bed up front sleep a total of (4) and if needed the wall hugger recliners will accommodate extra sleepers(1) each. The air conditioner didn't work first trip, heater didn't work, water lines were opposite and the shower hoses was off. Every trip we had we had problems. Every time we used it we either had a blow out, damaged wear to tire. Repeatedly we told the dealership. I purchased the extended warranty and additional tire coverage. Check your warranties they don't cover much. But we were told Dennis Dillon is the administrators. My axle is bent. My belief is they sold it to me without throughly inspecting the trailer or they would have caught these issues. My inspection report provided by Dennis dillon is blank. I've tried for over a month to request theirs. No response. I called and asked for the manager left a very detailed message for my call. I didn't know it was Joseph Muller as the manager. He didn't call me he emailed my husband because he dealt with him on the past issue. He knows what the issue is because I left a message and emailed him no response now for over a month. Don't purchase a pre-owned vehicle from them. You're putting your life at risk. The warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on and Dennis dillon won't respond to you should you need help. Warranty company only open 9 to 5 Monday through Friday. Ridiculous run around if you break down after hours and don't get pre authorization to tow your vehicle off the freeway. Joseph Muller service manager is evasive and non responsive. Filed complaint with Better Business Bureau. I've spent more time and money broken down repairing a trailer that should have been inspected and repaired before resale. Show less

electrical outlets could be dangerous. wires are push in and make contact only when insulation is pierced by pressing into metal tangs. no screws to tighten down on wires. can't believe they would do that. the fresh water inlet is lower than the tank inlet. hose must be held in place and a rag used to block the water from coming back out of the inlet. shower handles turn in opposite directions. that is completely anti-intutive. scalding is possible. cheap, cheap, cheap is the equipment and the engineering. tv antenna will not reach stations 50 miles or more away. Disaster from day 2! This manufacturer builds crap! Everything breaks and everything leaks. 2 of 3 slides are soaked and broken to the point that one has a 2" gap at the seal. It rains buckets inside. We have mold. And we live in it. Bankruptcy is the only way out! RUN!!!! Do not buy Forest River! Show less

After only 6 total trips with my R-POD 179 the trailer hitch folded up and I think the insurance company will be totalling the unit. I bought the trailer and anti sway hitch from the dealer on their recommendation. I was on my way on the 6th trip when I heard an unusual noises and pulled off the interstate and found a shoulder to park the unit on and saw the damage. I spent over 1.5 hours trying to find a tow company to get the unit to a nearby dealer. I loved the overall design of the unit and tow ability. I am a little disappointed with the overall quality of the unit. Show less

This RV provides a spacious floor plan at a very reasonable price. The rear living room layout and dinnette table with chairs provides a home away from home feeling. The midbunk room is a great option for kids or a home office. Tons of storage through out the coach including under belly. The modern decor and residential fridge adds a stylish appearance sure to impress friends and family. Cant say enough great things about this floor plan. The only thing I would change is having large propane tanks which is an easy upgrade! Show less

Easy to tow. Loved the layout and the storage spaces. Fridge a little small for a longer trip. Murphybed top and easy to handle. The outside light on top was good and the blue lights on the bottom gave a cozy ambiente. Disappointed in the warranty work. Never able to fix a wallpaper problem. Show less

We have hauled our Surveyor legend since new. We ordered it from the factory with added features like a cold weather package, roof ladder, aluminum wheels. Over the past 4 years we have hauled it around about 20,000 miles. We have replaced the tires in the second year with about 19,000 miles on it due to the faculty that the tires are poor in quality. We suffered a tire tread separation but changed the tire before it blew out. The trailer is very good and well built. I would have preferred having only 1 entry door instead of the two. The second door does not get used hardly all. We have replaced the folding stairs in the back door because the original stairs worked OK but seemed a little flexable. We installed an adjustable fold down unit instead. We installed rear camera by attaching it to the installed wiring that the trailer came with. The trailer has been used in cold weather with great success as well as in the summer and spring heat of the south Florida and it has served us well with no issues to speak of. The bathroom is larger than other trailers we looked at an so we were more comfortable with the larger size. We are very happy with our trailer, and we have owned others before and this one is built much stronger with better materials like the 15 year guarrentee vinyl roof, the walls are made of a combination plastic/ fibreglass walls that do not leak like the aluminum walls do. I blow tires every time we travel trailer really sucks ac terrible Worse campers I ever owned. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone ac went out 6 months after buying then took a year to replace after Covid hit still don’t cool camper please be careful on campers you choose they won’t Stan behind products Show less

Spacious and well designed and laid out travel trailer, including a full size bathroom which is a rare yet greatly appreciated. The cabinet finish, kitchen sink, stove backsplash adds a modern touch. The amount is storage space allows you to organize anything you'd like to bring along for a trip before hitting the road and without having to unpack and reorganize once you've reached your destination. Makes for a fuss-free, enjoyable getaway. Lots of storage kitchen utensils, dishware, pots , pans, small appliances, bakeware, bath towels, toiletries, full kitchen pantry, "his and hers" closets, plus large under bed storage space and overhead cabinets. Small door next to bed can be utilized as a laundry shoot that's accessible from a separate exterior door. Interior and exterior speakers offer great sound with option to watch TV outside as well.
