We tow it w a 2015 Duramax 2500 series Chevy truck. Tltz package. Automatic. Double cab, 4:door. Also going to sell. Tows like a dream, full power over hills. We replaced the cheap king mattress with high quality queen mattress to give better sleeping and more access to walk around the bed. Has lovely fireplace. Show less

We bought our 2019 Coachmen Catalina 243 RBS new. I have to tell you, it's been nothing but problems. First the air conditioner on the roof wasn't tightened down and when it rained, we had to put a bucket under it. The repair shop said they could almost turn it sideways, that's how loose it was. Second issue was rain dripping on us while we were sleeping. The seal in the front where the roof meets the metal needed to be caulked all over. I did that myself. This happened twice. Third, the switch on the power jack went out and I had to replace that. Fourth, the factory didn't caulk one side of the travel trailer. The dealership noticed that when we brought it in to have the air-conditioner tightened. Fifth, one day we noticed they didn't even bother to put trim where the floor and wall meet. They did it in some areas and not others. I would have to say that I am disappointed in the workmanship of this travel trailer. I would tell anyone that is considering buying any travel trailer or RV, to buy one that is a couple of years old. Otherwise it'll sit in the shop half the time getting repairs done. Show less

I love this RV, the quality is great, the floor plan is exactly what I wanted. My only 2 complaints are, the bathroom is small, and there is no power outlets in the slide. I have never had an issue with this RV, after towing it from AL to MI, and from MI to GA, not a thing has gone wrong. It has a ton of cargo carrying capacity, 2063 pounds, other RVs that I looked at only had 900-1200 pounds of cargo carrying capacity, Coachmen Viking has the most cargo carrying capacity for a stick and tin RV. I highly recommend this RV to everybody. Show less

Overall it is comfortable. Plenty of room to move around. Has one of the largest bedrooms in trailers. Easy to tow with our Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.7L motor. There are three slide outs in this model. We have had leaks in all slides. This has caused the flooring at the interior corners of the coach to deteriorate and cause spongy floors. The slides have been the main issue with this coach. Forest River cannot seem to manufacture a decent seal for the slides. Shame on them. Another issue was the refrigerator. It is an all electric Everchill brand. It does not require propane to operate. This brand does not seem to be reliable. After the refrigerator was replaced for the third time, we finally got a refrigerator that works. The slide motors needed to be replaced. The hitch jack needed to be replaced, the electrical panel needed to be replaced. Awning vinyl is poor quality. Too much junk is used to manufacture these RVs. The parts are not reliable and the manufacture is charging too much for what you are buying. And value for the money? It stinks. Some of the defects were repaired under the warranty period. But the leaky slides and spongy floors were not because they appeared some time after the warranty period expired causing us to pay $$$$$. Show less

Purchased July 2018, has leaked since first rain. Started in bunkroom slide floor. Wet all around corners and side wall. Then 12' dinette and love seat slide started samething. New roof added year later. What that has to do w/slides leaking I still have no idea, and continued to leak after. Bunk room floor started coming away from wall. Collapsing. Dealership pulled slide installed new floor & fixed leaking problem. Still leaked afterward. So far warranty was paying for everything until they weren't. Dealership service got snotty and screwed us over. It was same problem over & over. Stay away from Larry's RV in Illinois. They were great until they weren't. Now while all this was happening, during winter we would get ice and condensation on walls in both slides. Inside. Dehumidifier helps but we still have to be vigilant. That was life for 4yrs. It was only after summer of 2022 that we finally saw relief w/leaking slides. A RV service tech in Indiana tore off rubber seal all around our slides. And until recently, neither slides leaked. The bunkroom still has not. Our 12' dinette and LR slide has started to sag in center. Water has started to leak through our light fixture over dinette and floor on that side under bench seat is also soaking wet. Calling in our RV service tech. Maybe he can wrk his magic again. We happen to be in same area in Indiana. We decided on a new Rig prob around end of year but we may be buyjng sooner. Coachman is owned by Forest River. This is our 2nd FR. Doubt we'll go there again. We do service maintenance once a year w/licensed tech and we routinely do our own maintenance about every 6mo. Show less

The Coachmen Leprechaun 27QB (Class C) is the ideal RV for multiple purposes. It is perfect for chilling out with a nice sofa plus the table with facing seats that turn into a bed and in the back a QUEEN size mattress with charging portals next to the top, under storage bit enough for raincoats and boots. I recently met a woman at an RV park on the Gulf of Mexico who works remotely for a job in New Hampshire! Yet she was on a Texas beach with her 30-foot RV and car towed behind, doing her day job -- then walking the nice warm beach not 100 feet away. Perfect for couples even with children. I used it for my solo hotel and restaurant during covid, towing my jeep behind. I added a TV in the bedroom and had RV dealer add a satellite connection. It has a connection to flush the black tank instead of just relying on the gray water. It's a Ford V10 engine that my mechanic had no trouble changing the oil or checking the engine. The 27QB Coachmen is 30 feet bumper to bumper. In my several years of experience that is the "Goldilocks" size for almost anyone wanting to go RVing, whether it's working remotely or camping with the family. Not too big, not too small. Biggest mistake for first-time RV buyers (like I was)--Don't go to small on your first purchase! The 30 foot length is easy to maneuver. The Leprechaun has upgrades not found in lower models like the Freelander. I bought solar panels for it to charge batteries in event of a power failure after a hurricane. The unit has a heat/cool thermostat like you have in your house, not a knob to twist as my smaller Freelander had. The storage in the back of this unit is HUGE! Show less

The Coachmen Leprechaun 27QB (Class C) is the ideal RV for multiple purposes. My first RV was a smaller 24-foot Motorhome (based on Transit chassis) . Even with just two of us, it was not comfortable when you want to be on the road. There wasn't any way to stretch out unless it was on the bed awkwardly positioned so you would have to somehow change sheets while on the bed. Awards for anyone who can do that! lol. However, like goldilocks, I didn't want anything too big either. I ended up in the middle. I went with the "just right" size 27QB Coachmen Leprechaun which was perfect for chilling out with a nice sofa plus the table with facing seats and in the back a QUEEN size mattress that you can circle when entering, exiting or changing sheets, with charging portals next to the top, under storage bit enough for raincoats and boots. But its very easy to drive - 30-feet bumper to bumper, so not too big to get into grocery stores. It has a back up camera to see what's behind you --you can even turn it on while driving to see who is coming up behind the vehicle. I recently met a woman at an RV park on the Gulf of Mexico who works remotely for a job in New Hampshire! Yet she was on a Texas beach with her (too little) RV and car towed behind, doing her day job -- then walking the nice warm beach not 100 feet away. while folks in NH are freezing in snow. The 27 QB would be perfect for her or a family (it sleeps 8 who like each other with an overhead bunk, and the sofa. The table goes down to create another sleeping area. I used it for my solo hotel and restaurant during covid, towing my jeep behind for commuting to the job site my crew were working on. It also fit the needs of my girlfriend, me and two funny dogs well. We took kids with us and it worked great. I added a TV in the bedroom for another option for relaxing. I bought a Dish receiver and had RV dealer add a satellite connection. It has a connection that lets you flush the black tank instead of just relying on the gray water (we all know how bad a sewer hose can smell if not cleaned well, right? lol). It's a Ford V10 engine that my normal mechanic had no trouble changing the oil or checking the engine. No fancy Mercedes parts or prices required. As I said, the 27QB Coachmen is 30 feet bumper to bumper. In my several years of experience that is the "Goldilocks" size for almost anyone wanting to go RVing, whether it's working remotely or camping with the family. Not too big, not too small. Biggest mistake for first time RV buyers (like I was)--Don't go to small on your first purchase! What looked "big" at first became too small very quickly. Normally you will take a 30% or more hit if you find out you bought something too small and want to trade it back for a bigger one. That's what the dealer told me when I asked about flipping the RV I had just bought 3 months earlier. (I found a better deal elsewhere). The 30 foot length is easy to maneuver. The Coachmen Leprechaun 27QB is a 5 star. The Leprechaun has upgrades not found in lower models like the Freelander. It's much like a pickup camper but bigger and with plumbing and A/C! We have a coachment Catalina édition 303 rkp 2019. We have issues with the side floating patio. Thee is some soft spot on the floor patio. And when we fold the patio close the us some water that is dripping from the bottom corners of the patio. Any one had this problem? Show less

Super easy to drive. Great turning radius. Excellent Quality overall! Very happy with Coachmen. We have had zero problems since purchasing. Perfect for 2 people to spend the night in and for tailgating. Show less

Easy RV to pull and maneuver. More storage space than a person could ask for. At 5-10 215lbs the shower is big enough to get clean. Set up in less than 30 minutes. The couch turns in to a bed in less than 1 minute. 2 minutes to turn the table area in to another bed. Storage space under the Queens bed is a bonus. Show less
