In 2018 we bought this Heartland Wilderness 27.5. BRAIN NEW. To start with. We found issues when we did the walk through on it. The dealer said NO problem we'll schedule to fix them. Couldn't get a spot scheduled for six mths. When it was about time to get the repairs. The dealer was moving their shop so we were put off for 4 mths. waiting to get a spot, again 6 mths. out. Now the warranty is off. And we've experienced a leak in one of the slides. And the screws at the front roof seem are popping. And nails in the paneling are popping. Windows leaking. No problem we had paid for the extended warranty. So we thought. Then we were told that the manufactured defects aren't covered by extended warranty. Meanwhile more problems. When we did get it into the shop. The dealer spent 4 mths blowing smoke UOA and only connected 2 lights that had not worked from day one. At that point they were closing their shop because of Covid. Since then we've fixed some of the roof leeks ourself. And started to work on some of the other problems. When upgrading lighting we've discovered no insulation in a lot of the ceiling. Same thing in walls. Hole stud spaces with NO insulation at all. In inspecting windows leeks we've found more broke screws. Like in the roof. Seems like over torking was popular everywhere. We had bought this trailer for OUR retirement. Paid top dollar thinking we were getting a quality trailer. WE DID NOT. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TRAILER OR THIS MANUFACTURE FOR ANYTHING.

Problem now is the Alpha TPO roof has failed and I need to replace rotten wood and install a new membrane. Alpha Systems are supposed to be warranteed for 12 years and like all of the RV companies I have yet to hear back from them in regards to the warranty. I have inspected, washed and caulked every year. When not in use I have a very expensive waterproof Cover for it. Anyone else have a Alpha Systems roof failer. ??

This helps for how low the level pads in the rear are otherwise they can get hit if we didn't lift it.

Great floor plan. Mediocre to poor finish workmanship (lots of missing fasteners and screws). The biggest problem is the totally inadequate structural design of the suspension system. This is the 4th time having a suspension / frame failure repaired. Currently having the entire frame beefed up and completely rebuilt. The axles, hubs, wheels and tires are appropriately sized but the frame they are attached to is structurally under sized and completely inadequate. Have spent $20,000 getting the trailer capable of surviving traveling US 40 and US 10 through Arizona.

We bought a new 427RW in 2017. It is a beautiful trailer, especially when it comes to the full body paint for which I opted. Pulling the unit from Ohio where I purchased back to Pennsylvania where I live was exciting. Dozens of times during the journey, my factory brake controller reported loss of brake connection. Fantastic! Towing a 17,000lb + trailer in the PA mountains with no trailer brakes is exhilarating! The trip was rather stressful. We decided to spend our first night on the return at a campground along the way. Everything appeared to function as it should, but then came a heavy rainstorm that night. During the storm, I noticed water dripping from the bottom of the two smaller kitchen windows. We placed towels on the counter, and would address the issue upon returning home, The next morning when we were ready to leave, the main living room slide would not come in. I messed around with it for an hour and could not get it to retract. Finally, when I was ready to give up and call a mobile RV tech, it came in. Once home, I took the unit to a local RV dealer to have my issues addressed under warranty. The dealer stated all issues were repaired. The brakes had a loose wire which was causing the brakes to short out. No explanation provided for window and slide issues. Bottom line, the slide continued to misbehave, and the water leak caused delamination of my sidewall under the leaking windows. Heartland refused to address either of these issues. I have had many other issues, most minor in nature and I resolved them myself. My skills are as good or better than what you will find at many of your local RV shops. I have been fortunate enough that none of my cabinets or trim have fallen off. Carpet they install is garbage and you will be lucky if you get one good year out of it. But the biggest issue, is the sidewall delamination, especially on a painted unit because it looks terrible. Obviously, Heartland does an inferior job sealing their windows. I have three separate areas on the door side of my RV that have delaminated. All are under windows. The factory installer who did the door side windows was either new, drunk or on drugs. The non-door side has been fine. This is a recurring issue with Heartland. If you do not believe me, take a walk around your campground and look for delamination on Heartland rigs. It is everywhere. There is a Landmark in the park I am at now, where the entire side of the unit is covered with delaminated areas. And Landmark is their flagship product! I have seen others as well, Cyclones, other Road Warriors, Prowlers etc. They are everywhere. Personally, I think all owners of Heartland delaminated RVs should band together and file a Class Action lawsuit against the company. Would I buy this brand again. That is a big NO! Do yourself a favor and save a ton of anguish, stress, and regret. Shop for another brand. Do your research. I thought I had done mine, but boy was I wrong. If you end up buying a Heartland and you experience these issues, remember one thing, "I told you so!" Safe Travels!

On the surface it looked great. Everything controlled from touch pads. We've had trouble with touch pad and Lippert controls since it left the lot. No dealer support. Replaced the leveling device 4 times now. Replaced 2 of 3 a/c units. Refrigerator door latches are broken. Wireless connection for controls has been replaced twice. All faucets and shower controls have been replaced. Kitchen sink wasn't secured to countertop. Genuine fake leather is coming off sofa and loveseat. Loveseat platform isn't big enough to hold front of loveseats so you have to shim with a 2x6. Left camper in Ohio this weekend and drove back home to Georgia as a rear spring hanger broke. Front hanger was made properly out of u-channel. Rear was made out of 3 pieces of plate. Poor welds broke. Can't wait to see what fails next.

Lots of storage space inside. Would not be selling if not for health issues. We love it.

We bought this 5th wheel brand new in San Antonio, TX in April 2016. We were fulltime RV'ing at that time. It was our third RV and the most comfortable one of the three. The extra bathroom and stackable washer and dryer were absolutely heaven. Being able to sit in front of the fireplace on a chilly morning and sip our coffee added to the ambiance of living in the RV. We have been very careful to make any repairs needed and have kept it in top shape to the best of our ability. We even have an extended warranty with Good Sam because you never know when something might happen. Because we are both retired, we are now downsizing and will continue RV'ing adventures at a slower pace. We hope whoever buys this baby will enjoy it as much (or more) as we did.
