Our 2016 Fleetwood Discovery 40G has been an outstanding motorhome for our family, offering both comfort and reliability. We’ve taken it around the US for the past year, and it has consistently provided a smooth and enjoyable experience. From the moment we stepped inside, the Discovery 40G made us feel at home. The spacious living area is perfect for our family, with ample room for everyone to relax. The seating is not only stylish but incredibly comfortable, and the layout allows for a great flow of space—whether we're lounging in the living area, preparing meals in the fully equipped kitchen, or winding down in the master suite. The large windows bring in plenty of natural light and offer amazing views while traveling, making long drives more pleasant. Plus, the adjustable seating and high-quality mattresses have ensured restful nights, making us feel as though we’re staying in a luxury hotel on wheels. What truly sets the 40G apart is its reliability. We’ve traveled far and wide in this coach, and it has handled everything with ease. The powerful diesel engine has plenty of power for both the open road and any inclines, while the smooth ride and stability of the chassis make driving and parking stress-free. We have also towed our Honda CRV without issue. The coach is so powerful, you can't even feel the car back there. The built-in technology, including the navigation system and backup camera, has always performed flawlessly, and maintenance has been minimal. The coach has proven to be durable, and we’ve never had any significant issues, making it a true “set it and forget it” experience. The 2016 Fleetwood Discovery 40G comes packed with excellent features that elevate the RV experience. The outdoor entertainment area with a large awning has been perfect for family gatherings, and the full-size refrigerator, convection microwave, dishwasher and ample counter space in the kitchen make preparing meals easy and enjoyable. Additionally, the HVAC system keeps us comfortable year-round, and the bathroom and shower have more than enough space for a motorhome of its size. Previous owner. Had problem with blowing a battery fuse. I had to keep a few around because the service people were always baffled? I had great power. I drove it up from the valley all the way to Washington. Faster than I should have. The auto leaving worked great. The bays had lots of space. I never towed any thing Show less

I love everything about this coach, it’s an excellent floor plan specially for full timers. The most I love is my food pantry it is a big one, the bar, the office section where I can have my lab top and printer. I feel like I am in a NY apartment their is nothing I miss from my house. My wife really loved the floor plan and we had a Bounder that was really great but getting old. I found this rig in the color we wanted in AR so I drove ours out to trade it in. On the way home, the microwave flew open with glass everywhere. Then in another trip, the refrigerator and freezer come open while driving so I had to install some velcro, which didn't help. The pantry door and slides, and the desk and drawer in the dash come open occasionally. The toilet pump literally pumps 87 - 100 times every time you flush it. This is irritating, especially when trying to sleep as it runs under the master bed. The worst part was the dash, it sounds like it will come crashing down any time you go on a bumpy road. We tried to put styrofoam underneath to help, but it fell out. This is with 15000 miles, still new!! We really loved this rig when we first went camping and got a lot of compliments. We look at it now and it looks beautiful as we are sad as we still love a lot about it. But overall, with all these problems that we could not easily fix ourselves, it has caused us to sell and get a different rig. I hope this is an isolated lemon, to say the least. We owned our Fleetwood Bounder 33C for about 3 years and noticed the "leather" on the dinette bench staying to peel. Nothing is covered and now every single piece of furniture is doing the same thing. Fleetwood if aware of the issue, according to the person I spoke with on the phone and CONTINUES to use the same product. Be very careful if you're considering it. It will cost us $4,500 to have it recovered and they don't care! Show less

This is our second Fleetwood and overall we have loved both. The lay out of the Excursion we now have is what sold us. It is so much more livable and home like and with all the upgrades and love we put into it makes it perfect. There are issues that Fleetwood needs to address, such as accessibility to the Generator being #1. Easy to maintain but if you need access to it,it is a major job. We paid dearly to put new mountings on the generator,all set to go for new owner. Show less

Cosmetically it is gorgeous! Mechanically it is tip top! It is very comfortable whether overnight or for longer stays. Plenty of storage. We went on a 17 day road trip through Colorado and Wyoming in August 2020. It was so nice to have our home with us during these unsettling times! This coach would be ideal for full time RVers! We loved having 2 baths. This coach is very livable and so easy to drive. Tons of storage. Walk around king bed. The fireplace was great in the winter months. I loved the automatic electric reel. No more fighting the big cord. Show less

Great RV for any size family. Wonderful storage inside and out. Great for towing. You can drive this RV for hours without getting fatigued. Beautiful bath and a 1/2 with fireplace and spacious queen sized bed. Show less

We have done two volunteer jobs in two southern national parks for 3 months using this RV. It is very comfortable and the right layout for us. It is easy to drive and a very popular model, so serviceability is not a problem. Show less
