Four features set this RV over the top: 1) The open floor plan - upon entering the RV, you step into the kitchen/dinette area. It's then 3 steps or so to the primary bed and bathroom. The driver and passenger seat swivel around and with the slide open, you have ample seating for a larger group. 2) Storage galore internally and externally - the two in the rear are open and connected to each other. The large tubs can hold ice (there's a drain hole) or gear. You can store a lot back there. Internally, there's a 3/4 length closet and so many drawers and cabinets. It's fairly easy to keep the space organized. 3) Freezer - it has a separate and relatively spacious freezer. 4) Indoor and outdoor showers - hose off before you go inside or take a shower inside the warmth of your RV. Heated water available for both. The rest of the RV is wonderful. The interior has shown only small signs of wear. The drawers and cabinets stopped shutting on their own, but we installed some hooks which has solved the issue. The furnace and AC work fantastic and use less propane than expected. We have parked this RV on all kinds of terrain from paved driveways to rock pads to the middle of a field. This RV is very easy to maneuver and has great power. We have a medium-sized dog, and she does very well in the RV both riding in it and camping. We set up her bed near the dinette and still have plenty of room to get around her.

After 7 years both rear slide floors rotted the same way as the bedroom slide and coachman said it was from neglect and refused to send someone to look at it. If you are going to buy one of these units, make damn sure the slide seals are inspected every year because obviously they aren't sealed properly from factory.

Love this Coach! Our model is a 2016 35LS and it is very spacious and user friendly. The sofa area is spacious and looks directly at the large tv and fireplace (hard to find in any coach). It has incredible storage spaces both inside and underneath. Factory AC's (2) keep this RV cold even during Florida summer heat. 1-1/2 baths is great and the rear master bath/shower is huge. We haven't had any issues with fit & trim, in or out and the only repair made to date has been to replace the automatic entry stair motor. I was surprised how well it drives even without any upgrades or changes to steering, sway bars etc. I can drive it easily on the highway and it doesn't wear you out. Very seldom does a passing truck move it, she just puts her head down and we cruise. Highly recommend this coach.

Where do I start..... My family and i upgraded to this model from a travel trailer. We wanted easier setup and the ability to have the entire family together as we traveled. This coach was essentially new (prior owner did 3k miles and turned it in) and came with the factory warranty. We are in year 5 now and i have replaced the following due to failure: 3 AC's Refrigerator Water Heater Water pump Bunk motors P-trap in the shower Shower mixer Bathroom fan All batteries three times All of the "Leather" seat coverings I also replaced the radio head unit and the speakers because they were of such poor quality. In addition to things just breaking, the coach is riddled with things that have to be tweaked in order to get them to work. The bunk slide down has to be reprogrammed every time you use it. The dealer replaced the motors and the computer twice and it still doesn't work correctly so I gave up. The bedroom slide has to go out half way, then back in, and then back out in order to get it where it needs to be. The surface of the seats literally disintegrated within two years. Coachman said they were defective and their solution was to sell us the new fabric at cost since we were out of warranty. The heater is completely pointless as it blows 95% of the hot air out of the one vent in the bedroom. It becomes an oven in 5 minutes and the rest of the coach is freezing. The Gelcoat on both sides completely oxidized after just three years. Yes it was parked outside in the sun but it should last longer than that. There are other nuances but you get the idea. The biggest issue i have is the drive-ability. I get i'm driving a box truck with a house on top down the highway, but this is bad. It shakes, rattles, vibrates, and get pushed all over the place by any vehicle bigger than a truck. Its incredibly loud due to the engine so having normal conversation isn't pleasant. I added Sumo Shocks, new tires, stabilizer bar, trac bar, and sound deadening mats all of which helped but nothing eliminated the excessive shaking at highway speeds. If i put a cup in the cupholder it would bounce every ounce of liquid out and then throw the cup at you. It's that bad. With all that said, i'm a contractor and a very mechanical person so i am able to do most upgrades and repairs myself so the financial hit hasn't been as bad. The floorplan is really good for my family and now that everything has been upgraded or replaced, once its parked it does a decent job. We are currently looking to upgrade to a diesel pusher and i wont even consider a Coachman product or any made by their family of brands. Maybe i got a lemon or maybe they are all that way. Buy at your own risk.

very low quality. Many wood doors and cabinets breaking from china style cheap as$ quality. Like another reviewer I had 16 rats in my RV because the bottom is not sealed properly! They come in thru the bathroom sink and kitchen sink holes. I had to spray foam in those areas to prevent further damage. the awning control arms got bent in a windstorm. Master bedroom bed is uncomfortable. AC is underpowered for hotter summer months. microwave broke. some window parts broke on the up/down sliding clips, screen door broke, black plastic 1 inch sealant trim on sides and roof dryrotted and cracked in one summer. bathroom showerhead always dripping, won't seal. AC does not circulate very well during the hot days to the smaller vents. carpet low quality. sometimes the CO2 detector in kitchen will always beep if low battery. had to cut it off so i could sleep. a couple blinds broken and won't go back up. in summary, if you use this more than 5 days a year it will fall apart. I will never buy a coachmen again. I use mine maybe 4 weeks out of the year. Pure junk!

I bought the Coachman Freelander BH, class C, brand new in 2016. The first camping trip was great, after that all downhill. To say the people on the Coachman/Forrest River assembly lines gave zero sh*ts about their basic workmanship would be an understatement. My first hint is when I looked under the sink where the hot water heater was. There was wire insulation and shavings everywhere. They were too lazy to clean up after their work. This was everywhere in the RV. Since then it was discovered the shower plumbing was installed wrong at factory causing damage. We eventually had to replace the whole shower which we had to pay for. We had a massive window leak which turned out they installed incorrectly at factory. They Gerryrigged it to get it off the assembly line. It ended up giving and the massive leak happened years later in the middle of a storm. We had to pay for. Vent fan broke. Numerous window shades broke. One of two slides totally jammed up. The slide controller got wet BECAUSE ITS INSTALLED IN AN OUTSIDE STORAGE COMPARTMENT! This screw up is on the designers. Because of condensation we can’t use that compartment now. There were more issues. The Ford truck part of the RV no issues. The Frig, AC, heater, etc made by other companies no issues. All the issues started on the assembly line. Sadly it sometimes takes a few years to discover them. Coachman just doesn’t understand this is a families 2nd home. This is a massive financial investment for a middle class family. Good luck on trying to get a hold of them for anything. Very disgusted by the Coachman/Forrest River brand.
