I really enjoyed living in this RV. It's like living in a 1-bedroom apartment. There's plenty of room for two people to live comfortably. We chose this floorplan intentionally because the
theater seat faces the TV so we wouldn't have to crane our necks all of the time we were watching. We had the optional fireplace and ceiling fan. Having a fold-out sofa added enough sleeping space for his granddaughter to come along on a trip with us.
The rig is built for full-time living with extra features so you're comfortable in all kinds of weather. It has black-out shades throughout that provides lots of privacy and makes sleeping more comfortable.
It's hard to believe just how much storage is built into this fifth wheel. And the cabinets are all solid cherry. they're just beautiful .
There's so much space to store your belongings. Overhead bins in the living room, a full-size pantry with pull-out shelves, plenty of kitchen cabinets and cabinets similar to a buffet and hutch next to the kitchen,
Our particular unit had a water and ice dispenser in the refrigerator, a convection microwave and a MaxxFan with rain sensor. We loved the pull-out trash can. Something that I would add to the kitchen would be something to hold the cabinet door open overtop the microwave.
The dining area has a table attached to the wall with pull out leaves for extra space for four seats. Two of the chairs fold up and can be stored away in the storage space underneath the bed and there's plenty of that.
The bathroom is well-equipped with plenty of room for two people to use. The vanity and medicine cabinet are roomy with lots of space. We could easily fit all of our toiletries and personal items. The shower is tall enough for him to be able to use even with his 6'3' height. There's a roomy closet space with a ton of storage space. Ours was set up for a washer and dryer, however we only used it for additional storage. Even with a washer and dryer installed there would still be a lot of space.
Our unit had an optional central vacuum. It came with several attachments and was so handy to have. The bathroom and bedroom doors are pocket doors so they're out of the way. and have bungee cords to hold them open while driving.
I loved the setup in the bedroom. It came with a queen-sized mattress but there's plenty of room for a king which is what we did. It's set up so the Bed faces straight at the TV instead of the TV being in the corner. We really liked that. There are cabinets all around the TV and a dresser underneath. The closet is the full width of the front with built-in shelves and cubbies along the sides.
Outside there's a huge pass-through basement, and a separate water closet space with all the hookups for fresh water, an outlet to fill the fresh water tank and an outside shower. This is also the location for the valve handles to empty the sewer tanks. You don't have to reach underneath to pull them. That's a super nice feature. I don't know about you, but that's not my favorite chore. Having the valve pulls in the water closet area is great.
All-in-all we loved living and traveling in our rig and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a top-notch quality RV. You can't go wrong buying a Redwood Sequoia.

We have had very good luck with our 177 trailer. We purchased it new in early 2016, all appliances are original and all still work properly. The water pump quit less than year in and I replaced it myself rather than hassle with taking it to the dealer. We have had no problem with leaks or the floor, the workmanship on ours is solid. We've towed this guy all over the West with no problems. Tires replaced one time, tongue jack replaced (I bent it in a parking lot). We did some upgrades like LED bulbs since ours didn't come with them standard. Our main roof vent did not come with a fan so I added that, also replaced both vent lids after one broke, I'm guess too much New Mexico sunshine. This is our first trailer and if we had it to do over again I'd something a little larger as its a tight fit for extended trip with two people. It has a wet bath which a little cozy, but workable. Trailer is light and we started towing with a Tacoma but upgraded to an Expedition, which barely feels the trailer. We do get a lot of looks on the road and we love the style. I realize a lot of reviews are generated by negative experiences, we feel very lucky that our experience has been so good.

Overall I think the trailer is of fair quality. Most everything works as expected and it is comfortable for the most part. We switched out the mattress, and are thinking of switching out the couch which as it is quite uncomfortable. There are lots of nice ammenaties that make the 'camping' experience comfortable. however there are some issues.
-The lack of light switches on the walls is a serious bummer for us older folks with old shoulders trying to reach the switches on the overhead lights, especially over the bed!!
-The gray and black water tank monitors are basically useless, and I have tried all the tricks to get them clean (if that is actually the problem).
-I pull the trailer with an F350 and thought there would be no problems at all as I have towed very large trailer loads with this truck. To my surprise there was a significant amount of impact on trailerability, especially if there is any cross-wind, even with my large 1 ton truck and distribution hitch. I have tried different loading to see if that helps, but to no avail. One wierd issue is that they put the sizable fresh water tank (80 gal) well in front of the trailer axles, which makes the tongue weight significant if you dont have any waste water in the back tanks. That seems a bit foolish to me. I had to put overloads on my truck.
-
Nonetheless, although the trailer is fair in quality and we like it, I was completely appalled when I removed some of the cabinetry to get at the wiring and the converter. It was a complete rat's nest of wires that were not cut to length, nor routed in a reasonable manner. Behind the fuse box it was impossible to trace out a wire or even get in to the space as the mass of wires were merely crammed into the space and mixed up in a horifying ball. It is so bad that it is hard to imagine someone doing it, unless they were purposfully trying to sabatoge the trailer or the company, or just didnt give a damn.
I might consider looking at another one of these outdoor trailers, but would go to the effort of taking off some of the cover panels and seeing if the workmanship falls apart behind them. It sure did on this one.

The livability is wonderful. It is like living in an apartment but with no noisy neighbors complete with an indoor and outdoor entertainment system and a television in every room. With 5 slide outs, the roominess can be felt. A full sized, side-by-side stainless steel refrigerator freezer, a stainless steel stove, and a microwave across from the Corian countertop island is like living in a real home. The floors are solid but the reason I gave it 4 stars on quality is the naugahyde on the couch, the chairs, and the headboard of the king size bed in the master bedroom is starting to flake. Overall, it is home away from home!

We absolutely love the layout, it is great for 2 people full time. They say the camper is not made to live in,so with that in mind, we have done a great job of doing that. Ee did lise our hot water heater but that was only due to user error.
The quality could be a little better, like they could use nails or screws instead of staples; that can be fixed.
Would we buy another one, YES! The cost vs the money we saved is incredible. We really enjoy our Venture Sonic.

Its light, but at 30' its in the world of bigger stuff. It can manhandle small SUVs with V6s even if they are close to its towing since its so wide and tall vs the smaller suv. Once I got a big V8 pickup, it pulled exceptionally well.

My husband and I thought long and hard about the type of trailer we wanted and were really delighted with the Sonic - right size, had all the features we wanted, couldn’t wait to enjoy many camping trips. However, it developed a very bad leak behind the refrigerator - so bad that it required the whole back end and part of the bathroom to be rebuilt. We contacted the dealer we bought it from - oh, sorry, not under warranty, contact the manufacturer. Which we did, only to be given the runaround, we’ll get back to you, I need to talk to my supervisor, etc., etc. The trailer was only a couple of years old at this point. We bit the bullet and had the very expensive repairs done. And have enjoyed several camping trips since then. But today, when my husband went out to do some work on it, guess what - another leak, exactly same place, mold growing. I would say it is a design/manufacturing flaw. Needless to say, we are NEVER going to buy another Sonic, and can’t wait to trade this one in (if we can get anyone to buy it). Would hate someone else to end up in the same situation.
