I purchased the RV knowing it was used; it had 12,000 miles on it. Soon after my purchase all the furniture began to delaminate like nothing I had ever seen before. I called the factory, and they were aware of the problem and described poor quality coverings to the furniture. they clearly said there was a suit that they agreed to pay out, but I was too late due to the Covid outbreak. The furniture quickly became so unsightly and the mess we had no other option than to replace the captain's chairs, the dinette and both couches. Total cost was over ten thousand. The management at Riverside offered nothing to help compensate for a known issue.

I guess they don't last well as they aren't built like they used to be.

Due to weather, illness, infirmity, we have never spent night in thing.
We were seeking reliability review as we wish to travel during intense heat from Texas to New Mexico or Colorado/Wyoming 4 August 2023. With 28K miles
We not ever having gone more than 25 from home in it, are doubting durability of motorhome. We are elderly couple 82-72 respectively.
Are we over cautious to fear a long hot trip in 100+F heat? We fear breaking down between Wichita Falls and Ruidosa, NM
This may be a ridiculous review.

As entry level motor home I expected problems. I have been happy with this unit. We bought a bunkhouse because we have a special needs child and the floor plan has worked well. I upgraded the suspension that made it drive-able, I think it is a must on the Ford chassis . For the past three years we go to Arizona for the winter and travel in the summer . Although a little tight we do very well
As far as the RV itself I have had very little problems. Did not have one warranty problem. Time to upgrade but having trouble finding a floor plan that works as well as the 35BH
.

This RV was an awesome unit for a family of five kids. We travel all over the east coast with no regrets. Coachmen when we had issues quickly responded and directed me in the right direction or solved the problem with me. My two favorite things about this unit were when traveling if I wanted a cup of coffee or even something hot to eat we could make it while going down the road. The other advantage with kids' bathroom stops drives me crazy. This unit never had to stop.

Love this motorhome! Amazing floor plan! Especially love having two bathrooms. The shower is huge, both bathrooms have skylights so are well lit during the day without having to turn the lights on. The stainless refridgerator freezer is large and holds a lot of food. The L shaped sofa is beautiful and faces the fireplace and big screen tv. I love that there are 3 TVs and 3 DVD players. One in the living room, one in the bedroom and the other outside! The side awnings open to cover the outdoor TV area. With the slides open it's so roomy inside. We're actually thinking about living in it and traveling when we retire. There is so much room in the under storage and it even has an outdoor shower! The CD radio has an awesome speaker sound system. With the retractable TV antenna we're able to get a lot of stations, even in remote wooded RV parks. This coach is beautiful inside and out. Every window has shades, and the power front sunshade is great. It's wonderful having air conditioning in the bedroom and in the living area. We don't bother using the furnace when it's chilly because the fireplace heats the coach up quickly. Can't say enough and we're getting great gas mileage too!

This 29BHS was our first 5th wheel bought new in 2015, we previously had an Arctic Fox slide in but as the family grew we upgraded.
Love the layout, it is very nice that the kids bunks have a door and everyone gets some space. Only thing we would change is i would like reclining chairs rather than a couch in the living area.
From a quality standpoint we have had no major issues but we have certainly had a ton of little issues, some highlights include - Faulty/leaking waste valve - Leaking toilet flange (cracked from factory), cupboard doors split, kitchen drawers not installed straight. Overall nothing a handy individual can't fix on their own. If you can't fix it on your own - owning an RV may not be for you.
For the price - I believe the Chaparral Line up to be fair value and i would recommend others try it out.
