2015 Redwood reviews

I really enjoyed living in this RV. It's like living in a 1-bedroom apartment. There's plenty of room for two people to live comfortably. We chose this floorplan intentionally because the theater seat faces the TV so we wouldn't have to crane our necks all of the time we were watching. We had the optional fireplace and ceiling fan. Having a fold-out sofa added enough sleeping space for his granddaughter to come along on a trip with us. The rig is built for full-time living with extra features so you're comfortable in all kinds of weather. It has black-out shades throughout that provides lots of privacy and makes sleeping more comfortable. It's hard to believe just how much storage is built into this fifth wheel. And the cabinets are all solid cherry. they're just beautiful . There's so much space to store your belongings. Overhead bins in the living room, a full-size pantry with pull-out shelves, plenty of kitchen cabinets and cabinets similar to a buffet and hutch next to the kitchen, Our particular unit had a water and ice dispenser in the refrigerator, a convection microwave and a MaxxFan with rain sensor. We loved the pull-out trash can. Something that I would add to the kitchen would be something to hold the cabinet door open overtop the microwave. The dining area has a table attached to the wall with pull out leaves for extra space for four seats. Two of the chairs fold up and can be stored away in the storage space underneath the bed and there's plenty of that. The bathroom is well-equipped with plenty of room for two people to use. The vanity and medicine cabinet are roomy with lots of space. We could easily fit all of our toiletries and personal items. The shower is tall enough for him to be able to use even with his 6'3' height. There's a roomy closet space with a ton of storage space. Ours was set up for a washer and dryer, however we only used it for additional storage. Even with a washer and dryer installed there would still be a lot of space. Our unit had an optional central vacuum. It came with several attachments and was so handy to have. The bathroom and bedroom doors are pocket doors so they're out of the way. and have bungee cords to hold them open while driving. I loved the setup in the bedroom. It came with a queen-sized mattress but there's plenty of room for a king which is what we did. It's set up so the Bed faces straight at the TV instead of the TV being in the corner. We really liked that. There are cabinets all around the TV and a dresser underneath. The closet is the full width of the front with built-in shelves and cubbies along the sides. Outside there's a huge pass-through basement, and a separate water closet space with all the hookups for fresh water, an outlet to fill the fresh water tank and an outside shower. This is also the location for the valve handles to empty the sewer tanks. You don't have to reach underneath to pull them. That's a super nice feature. I don't know about you, but that's not my favorite chore. Having the valve pulls in the water closet area is great. All-in-all we loved living and traveling in our rig and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a top-notch quality RV. You can't go wrong buying a Redwood Sequoia. Show less

This is my second Redwood, this one replaced by Warranty for the 2013 previous! This one is a 2015 and go out this spring to clean it up and both bedroom and kitchen floor are completely rotten obviously from roof leaking! These trailers should be taken off the market they are nothing but junk! Absolutely disgusting you charge that kind of money for such poor quality!! Criminal Show less

I would not buy this Redwood rv 5th 2015 wheel made with older parts than are age of trailer had heater replaced parts were from 2 yr s older than rv front door does not close have to slam trim comes off closet doors in bedroom do not work right bedroom and bathroom doors do not close dishwasher leaks Show less

Incredible amount of storage for full time living. Pulled over 15,000 miles a year with minimal issues. Especially liked stopping power with Disc Brakes. Did not care for induction cooktop but loved residential refer. Automatic 50 amp cord reel is an outstanding feature. Show less

I drove from Mississippi to St Augustine Florida to by this Redwood at a reduced price. Pulled it back to Mississippi and have been living in it for a week now. Just love it and so far everything seems to be working fine. Love the extra bathroom for my husband 😁 and the large and roomy shower 🚿. Great floor plan, quality molding and build quality. No major problems. Wiring issue with one bedroom light switch shorting out basement light fuse. Added a Magnum Energy MSH-3000 and 450ah battery bank. The axles are only 7k rated and the RV tops at 16k so the suspension is weak. Would recommend upgrading if you travel on bumpy roads as the wet bolts and brackets holding the axle to the frame can break off. Otherwise I enjoy living in it and having the load support feature of the Magnum inverter so I can hook up to a15amp plug and still run my ACs. Water freezes when below 20f, - even with heat on and a warm basement so not fully “4 season” out of the box. Would still recommend at a discounted price, not at 119k. Show less

This is a product review about the Thor brand(s) Thor owns many brands including Crossroads, Keystone, Jayco, Starcraft, KZ and more. Our $127,000 MSRP Thor Redwood camper that first went into service 5-1-16 had several serious issues. The most recent that was just out of the warranty period and not covered was a $4,000 floor rot repair that they could not ascertain how it happened. They did cover the following during the warranty period, but did nothing for the inconvenience or the cost involved for travel or lodging. Asking them directly several times to answer this question, Neither the dealer or Thor industries would tell me “this many problems was rare or unacceptable.” -brakes on this 16,000 LB unit, failed 4 separate times. 3 of the times were shortly after I paid the dealer to inspect them. All recommended maintenance was done, mostly by their dealers -many different plumbing leaks/failures including raw sewage leaking into the underside wrap -tire sidewalls cracked after less than 2 years. Mfg. paid half. -4 separate slide out failures including motor replacement. -several pieces of trim fell off -shower floor cracked twice -toilet had to be replaced just out of warranty. -tank level sensors never worked -several door latches, window and shade hardware, wiring and lighting, etc., failed. Carpet had to be re-installed -We no longer feel confident to take this trailer anywhere due to the never ending problems. Show less

We bought our unit new in 2016 it was exactly what we had been looking for. We started living in it Full Time in 2017 and have had very very few issues related to the design or manufacturing of our Redwood factory built Rushmore. We here that quality improved mid 2014 when the build was moved from Crossroads to Rushmore. No slide issues, no frame issue, no roof or flooring issues. We put about 10,000 miles on our unit per year. Show less

Great RV for full time living. Lot of space and cabinets. High quality features throughout the rv. Top quality full body paint. Full size Residential refrigerator. Very simple way to live in this RV. Show less

The first day we got are 5th wheel the bottom fell out. The double slide out in bedroom has been worked on 3 times and still does not work right. Walls seperate latches fall apart. No bed in couch and at this price why not. Sink leaked and carpet under dinning room floor is always wet. Doors on closet fell off hard to keep on. Furniture is cheap and does not stand up use. There are more things wrong and has been in service 4 times a for months at a time. Dont buy Show less
