This Excel was the perfect 5th wheel to decide the features, quality issues, and size/type RV for the ultimate retirement camper. We could not have wanted more in a quality build for traveling. It should serve as an excellent camper for someone for many more years. The factory warranty was given only one star since it no longer is under warranty.

The 2007 Hurricane is a great coach. First, it's got more windows than probably ANY bunk model RV. The windows on the bunks are 4' long! FOUR FEET! No other bunk model has windows that big. The 2007 Hurricane is a great coach. First, it's got more windows than probably ANY bunk model RV. The windows on the bunks are 4' long! FOUR FEET! No other bunk model has windows that big. The master has 3 windows - 2 on the slide (one on left and right of bed) and one on back of RV, few motorhomes have such a great window on the back. Every side of this RV has windows making for a great view.
All the usual features make this comparable to all other bunk models, 4-5 TVs, OVEN (not all have ovens under the stove top) and a curio cupboard/cabinet that makes extra storage!
Storage under dinette - again, not all have that, and lots of cupboard space in bathroom and 6 drawers and a closet in Master.
This coach has a lot of everything - great storage and great windows - better than most coaches!

This is our 1st RV and we are very satisfied with it. The slide gave us plenty of room to move around with our family of 5 (incl. 3 teenagers) without getting in each others way. We have plenty of storage inside for all our wares and clothes. It has 120 cubic feet of exterior storage and I keep my tools, air compressor, camping gear incl. a big portable BBQ and 8 camp chairs all in the outside storage. We used a 5-bike bike carrier on the tow hitch to carry our bikes.
I do as much maintenance as I can on the house and I haven't seen any shoddy work. I leave the engine/tranny and brakes to the pro's.
I haven't towed anything yet, but the combined gross weight it 20,000 lbs. compare that to the Chevy model which is 16,000 lbs.
As for driving, this baby does real good. If you're familiar w/the climb to sunset point north of Phx, I was able to cruise up it without difficultly at 50 mph. That's because it has a Ford V-10 and a 5-spd tranny w/overdrive.
Yes I'm very pleased with this RV.
