2007 Holiday Rambler reviews

I like this rv. Has it been inspected, and what does it need? body damage, tires, batteries, window leaks,generator repair,brakes, etc.I am willing to do some repair.Ide like to see it maybe tuesday or so. Show less

I bought this RV because my wife felt our 26' non-slide Trailite 250 (class B)made her claustrophobic. We drove a Class A which was way too big. I had always thought a Class C would be too big and slow. So I was very surprised and happy that the 31 foot Holiday Rambler drove much better than our previous Class B. Not only was the size not an issue at all, but it sctually had much more clearance in the back so no more scraping the rear end on the roads when entering shopping areas from the road. The livability is outstanding. We lived in it for a full 7 weeks non-stop and never felt cramped, thanks in part to the private rear bedroom. There is more than enough storage, so my wife never felt compromised clothes wise. Even enough room for her shoes ;^) Honestly, we'd still be very happy in it except we need to live in town, and there are severe restrictions to living in an RV in our town. Also my wife's health will limit our ability to be on the road. Show less

This motorhome is very manageable. My late wife and I enjoyed this because of the floor plan, the diesel power, the quality/fit and finish, along with the fact that she was able to drive it herself. We made some of the best memories of our lives in our 2007 Holiday Rambler Neptune 37PBD. I recommend this motor home to anybody! This looks like it's about $15,000 - $20,000 underpriced as well, might talk to these guys about that. -Bart in Buhl, Idaho Show less

We spent two winters in Arizona living in this RV. It was a very comfortable coach even with company. There is plenty of room for 4 people. We have done 2 week vacations with our son and grandchildren and did not feel crowded. When we were in Arizona, we did many meals in the motorhome. The kitchen and dining area are very reasonable for cooking and eating. Show less

I bought the 2007 HR Neptune XL used and it's age explains some of the reliability issues. The chassis A/C has required 3 major and expensive repairs in the year I have owned it. The temperature guage always reads at least 3/4 towards the hot side even when the unit has barely run. After running several hours in hot hilly terrain, the generator alarm will go off requiring a pull over to the side of the road and letting the unit idle. On the good side, it drives well. The steering is much smoother since I added a Roadmaster steering stabilizer. With the 4 slide outs there is a lot of usable room inside, especially for a 36' model. The shower is a nice size. Overall I am satisfied with the unit, I recognize that mechanical issues come along with older motorhomes. I have no experience with the manufacturer warranty/support. Show less

Like most of the reviews, I love my pre 2009 Admiral. After the company went bust and was acquired by another company I think the overall quality went way down. I have put about 30K on the Admiral and love it. Very livable and comfortable. I replaced the stair motors and did little fixes as any rolling house will always need. Its still a champ. I take her up to 80 mph, where she is happiest. I never regretted spending the extra money for a quality coach. I don't think I would buy a Monaco product now. However, I will say that their parts department is very helpful, even though my coach is long out of warranty. Show less

I am the second owner, so I do not know about warranty items by original owner. However in the last four years this has been a very good coach for us. Having a full clothes closet and a second bathroom is a real plus. Also having two ceiling ducted heat pumps plus two LP furnaces gives you lots of options to heat the coach with LP or electric. We mainly used the heat pumps when temperature is above 40 degrees. The main plus for this coach is the: 1. Exclusive Holiday Rambler RR8R eight air bay chassis. You really can drive this RV down the road with "one finger". 2. Huge cargo carrying weight 3,321 lbs., with "see through" storage compartments under the coach floor. 3. Cummins 330 hp ISC engine is great. Drove it 12,000 miles and the only maintenance was just to change the oil and the filters. Show less

This trailer is large for a conventional tow trailer. I have compensated for the size and weight of the trailer by purchasing a Class VI "Airsafe" hitch. ( Rated for 20K pounds) The "Airsafe" hitch allows the tow vehicle and trailer to absorb any road bumps etc. via a large air filled (industrial) cushion and two lateral shock absorbers. These "air bags" are many times used on buses and large 18 wheelers. It works very well. I use 1200 lb. trunion bars with the hitch, but they must be removed when maneuvering in tight spaces. For the price, this is a very nice trailer, well maintained and used much less than anticipated. As such it is "new" inside and simply has sun exposure on the exterior. ALL systems work well. This trailer would be great for a live in while building a home or at a contracting site. It also has every amenity one could wish for, minus a 60" flat screen TV. This is literally a "home" as it has everything a home does and is spacious. Show less

I lived in the unit from 2007 until 2012 when I bought a home in Las Vegas. I had a 35' motor home before and believe me it was so much more livable than the motor home. I now use it for vacations and short trips. It pulls great. Show less
