The driving on this RV is very smooth complimented by the 19.5" tires it sits on, makes bumps on the road seem non-existent. Chevrolet is known for having interchangeable auto parts and in this case it works out great for maintenance. The RV ages very well, as its original character is well preserved, has low miles and is great on gas and propane. When we purchased we were not concerned with the cosmetic aspect but more so with the overall functionality. We put our money into the functionality. I stand firmly behind it's ability to start everytime despite the Salvage Title we purchased it under. Having this RV is like stepping back into the 90's when everything was straight forward and authentic. What you see, is what you get! The only thing I dislike is the size. I eventually realized it was much too big for us but perfect for someone else.

I purchased a 1992 Fleetwood Flair that needed work but showed promise in its quality and that parts were still available. I removed all the carpet and out down KILZ on the floor and put down vinyl flooring. I have also added LED interior and exterior lighting for brightness and power savings. I also have had the steering system repaired including new idler arms (which are only made by GM on this P30 chassis), new KYB shocks and 2 new front chassis air bags and wheel bearing and front end alignment. This has been a fun project and I believe with all the love and attention I am giving it, it will last for a very long time. Fleetwood build quality lasts decades after the original build and through ongoing maintenance, the vehicle can be made to last further. It is a joy to own and drive.

We purchased this unit used with some anxiety about the age, but it appeared to be in excellent shape and was within our budget. We have been pleased with the sturdy construction, the quality overall, and the use of space. We have taken it on short trips as well as longer trips and it has performed well. We had normal servicing on it when we first purchased and the only repair we have had so far was a broken belt. It drives well. We tow a Jeep, and had the AirForce one braking system installed. Have taken it over mountains with no problems at all...don't even now the Jeep is behind us! The interior furnishings are all original and have held up well. We only replaced the mattress for personal reasons. We have had pull behinds and fifth wheels in the past, manufactured by other brands. We would buy another Fleetwood without hesitation based on our experience with the Discovery.
